HAPPY FATHER’S DAY
On this weekend we want to thank God for our fathers, and celebrate their indispen-sable role in our lives. With quiet strength, courage, faith, patience and compassion our fa-thers have protected and supported us. I was fortunate to have had one of the best God ever made, and today is a day for me to remember him especially at Mass. For all fathers who have gone before us to God’s heavenly kingdom, we offer the sacrifice of the Mass today. We pray today for all fathers who are now in the midst of their most important role of leading and protecting their families, and especially new fathers, that they may be strength-ened in their faith and filled with the gift of wisdom. May God bless them all!
“God our Father,
In your wisdom and love you made all things.
Bless these men,
That they may be strengthened as Christians Fathers.
Let the example of their faith and love shine forth.
Grant that we, their sons and daughters,
May honor them always
With a spirit of profound respect.
Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen”

As we honor our fathers today we hear Jesus
reassure his disciples by reminding them of the
tender care of his heavenly Father. Our heavenly
Father watches over us assiduously, faithfully,
lovingly; every hair on our heads is accounted for. Let us recall all the times our
own fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and father figures - living and
deceased - made us feel safe and secure with their vigilant care.

More Adoration Needed One thing we all really need right now is MORE PRAYER! During this difficult time in our Church, and in our nation, we have been given special provision for quiet prayer and contempla-tion in our own Cathedral Chapel! If we are not taking at least one hour a week in the chapel, it is time to ask our-selves, “Why? What is keep-ing me away from Jesus?” Our Savior waits for you. If interested, call Gretchen at 912-658-3848.

vironment) awareness training, undergo a back-ground check, and read and sign the diocesan code of conduct for work-ing with minors prior to commencing their minis-try. For information re-garding policies and pro-
cedures relating to the diocesan safe environment program please visit the diocesan website, www.diosav.org/childyouthprotection. Benedictine Summer Camps 2020 Benedictine Military School is offering sport-specific camps with limited enrollment, as well as two academic camps: Robotics and Study Skills. The Study Skills workshop is offered to incoming BC freshmen. Your sons and daughters will have an opportunity to develop their athletic and aca-demic skills. Social Distancing Reminders For the safety of the parish community, it is important that those who are symptomatic, feel sick, or have a fever, stay home. Because of the general dispensation, there is no obliga-tion at this time to attend Mass, so there is no sin if you stay home. Social distancing will limit seating availability for Mass. The wear-ing of masks for ages three and up is highly recommended. We do this to protect others as well as ourselves. Please use hand sanitizer as you walk in to the Cathedral.
