Practical and/or technical experience within a construction environment, e.g. Building surveying /Quantity surveying/ construction project management experience within a housing environment.

Experience of delivering major works projects within a housing environment such as decent homes works.

Experience of using JCT standard forms of contract.

Experience of dealing with contractors, subcontractors and tenants and members of the public.

Ability to write specifications and produce schedules of work.

Ability to administer contracts effectively, maintain and keep records, cost control, and monitor contractor’s performance.

Practical experience of inspecting work at various stages for quality of workmanship/ materials, and conformity to specification.

A detailed and working knowledge of building construction, services and fabric and associated trade work, in particular relation to domestic properties.

Proven ability to work with tenants, listen and attend to their needs and resolve issues in a supportive manner.

QUALIFICATIONS E

Minimum of ONC or equivalent and extensive trade knowledge.

Membership of appropriate professional or technical body (RICS, CIOB etc.). (Full or associate.)
