Like Holden in his hotel room, observe a person or couple (without them knowing that you are observing them). What do you notice? Write down all your observations. Create a story about them: Where are they from? What is their past? What are they thinking about? What are their jobs? Why are they in this place? Where are they going next? What are their dreams and plans?
