• Catbalogan City is the capital of the province of Samar in the Eastern Visayas of the Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 103,879 people.

• Alternate regional center of Eastern Visayas

• Geographical center to three (3) provinces and two (2) cities

• Presence of the all-weather RORO Ports with PPA Facilities

• Home of 8th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army

• The original trading center of Samar Island and one of the commercial centers of Eastern Visayas

• Vast untapped agricultural land for Commercial Farming (3,000 Has.) and Mari Culture Zone (500 Has)
