The Armament and the Turret Control SystemThe armament includes the automatic gun 30 mm CZ30 or 2A42 with PKT machine – gun(7.62 mm)mounted coaxial ly. The re is controlled trough the gunner´s control panel. It ispossible to integrate the ATGM or AAGM, depending on customer ´s demands. In order toaim the weapons, there is the modernized periscopic sight BPK- 2-42 with a swing of themirror from -6° up to 60°. The sight system is equipped with a night vision device.

MGC-14.5 Application of the turret . The MGC-14.5 turret is meant to replace the original BMP-1 turret when converting the infantry ghting vehicle to the armoured personnel carrier.It is virtually a modi ed BMP-1 turret which may be tted to the vehicle in lieu of theoriginal turret. The modi cation includes replacement of the 73 mm cannon with a 14.5mm machine gun. The cannon, ammunition conveyor, automatic loading mechanism

and ATGM launching and guiding system have been removed from the turret. As theother components including controls have been retained, the logistic support and thetraining of gunners are virtually identical to those of the BMP-1.Brief technical description of the turret . The armament comprises an 14.5 mmmachine gun and a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun. The 14.5 mm machine gun ismounted on a cradle and the 7.62 mm machine gun is linked to it. The14.5 mmmachine gun ammunition magazine is also mounted on the cradle.The turret is equipped with the 1 PN 22 M4 sight. It is a passive combined periscope sight(for day and night observation). The elevation and traverse may be operated electricallyor manually. For electric operation there is a control panel situated in front of the gunner.Manual control is performed by means of control hand wheels within the gunner’s reach.The turret traverse may be locked during transport. The locking device is found left ofthe gunner’s seat. The machine guns may be red by means of the control panel or thetraverse/elevation mechanism control hand wheels.The cone-shaped turret is made of welded armour steel. The roof includes a multi-angular superstructure including a gunner’s hatch. There are four TNPO-170 periscopesround the hatch allowing the crew to observe the vehicle’s neighbourhood. On the insideof the roof there is a fan for re aftergases.The turret is seated on a ball bearing and carries a basket. BMP-1 Recovery VehicleThe recovery vehicle is an amphibious tracked armoured unit mounted on the modi edchassis of the BMP carrier. It features high manoeuvrability and good travelling qualitiesin heavy terrain. After mounting a blade used as a support, it is used for the recovery of pieces ofarmoured and mechanised units up to a weight of 15,000 kg with follow-up towing tothe repair site. New fre control systemThe solution includes a new, high-performance re control system (FCS) that boosts thecombat ef ciency of the system and at the same time simpli es its operation. The newlydeveloped solution of the FCS is based upon the use of state-of-the-art technologiesallowing the DANA-M1 CZ to be integrated into the C4I system.

The ballistic computer

is the heart of the re control system and conducts the following:– It controls the Inertial topographical navigation unit through serial data communication.– It creates re missions including ammunition identi cation and target topographic identi cation.– It enters all the data required to calculate re elements.

The chassis upgradeThe upgrade of the chassis has resulted in substantially improved driving properties andmanoeuvrability of the vehicle.The steering system has been modi ed and the TATRA-NORGEN shift-by-wire system hasbeen newly added. The T3-930 engine has also undergone a major upgrade; new turbo-chargers and an intercooler have been tted which results in enhanced torque behaviourand power curve.Several modi cations have been made to the cabin. The driver’s eld of view has been

BRDM-2The BRDM-2 is an armored patrol car used by Russia and before that the Soviet Union.It was also known under the designations BTR-40PB, BTR-40P-2 and GAZ 41-08. Cannon CZ 30 C is also possible to install inhelicopters MI-28, Ka-50 and Ka-52.It can also be equipped in naval helicopter Ka-29TB.

Rubber pads for BMP track chains is a new upgrading item, suitable for infantry combatvehicles and different vehicle modi cations built on their chassis. Applying rubber padshas a positive in uence on driving quality, mainly on paved roads, which do not getdamaged by the tracks. Their design means that rubber pads can be applied both onnew and partially worn-out standard forged segments of BMP track chains. Usage ofrubber pads also reduces wear of metal track parts, thus improving the economy ofvehicle operation.

These rubber pads are designed for the standard shape of the forged segment ofthe BMP track chain, and they meet the demanding criteria for BMP operation. Tracksegments are modi ed for xation of rubber pads made of special rubber developed forthis purpose. Forged segments are modi ed by means of modern technologies, whichtogether with a good quality mounting ensure high operating reliability with minimummaintenance demands.

Long-term veri cation of track chain sets with rubber pads has shown that infantrycombat vehicles equipped with track chains with pads are able to manage even verydif cult terrain and ful l set tasks without special limitations. Compared to vehicleswithout pads, vehicles using tracks with rubber pads during operation achieve betterdriving properties such as:

– Better manoeuvrability – Better braking performance– Lower noise during operation– Signi cant reduction of vibrations during operation

The quality, reliability and service life of tracks withsegments tted with rubber pads have been veri ed byseries of tests and especially by Czech units using BMP

within UN International Forces.

Forged Tracks with Rubber Pads for BMP

Upgrade package to “shift by wire“ technology is designed for installation on vehiclesBMP-1 and BMP-2 equipped with the original engine UTD-20. Manually operatedgear shifting mechanism is replaced by electro-pneumatic system, which continuouslymonitors vehicle speed, engine speed and other driving conditions. Based on collecteddata, system offers optimal gear and conducts shifting while the driver controls clutchengagement. By continuous monitoring vehicle movement parameters, the GCU(gearbox control unit) prevents mistaken gear selection and protects engine and gearboxfrom damage caused by incorrect usage.

vehicles. In the area of engineering isrealized the machining of weldments,including assembly of higher units and

nal products.

Repairs of Military Technology The main production program is the ensuring of the life cycle of ground military andspecial technology, ie. production, modernization and reconstruction, ensuring ofall levels of repairs until the eco-friendly disposal of the redundant technology. Thedefectation, warranty and post warranty service, preservation and storage of thetechnology are part of services. On customer´s request we can ensure the staff trainingfor operating, maintenance and repairs.

Production and Modernization of Military Technology We ensure the production and modernization of military technology and materials oncustomer´s request.

Engineering ProductionThe production focuses on parts of building, agriculture and other machines. Oncustomer´s request we are able to realize a single-part production according to supplieddocumentation.The technological equipment enables the preparation and dividing of materials, cuttingand bending of metal sheets, welding of parts and construction subgroups and groups,machining on CNC machines, preparation and painting, pre-assembly, assembly,testing and packaging of products.
