FAGUO is a brand of casual and trendy shoes and accessories. Dynamic and responsible,
it is aimed at city dwellers who like simplicity and action. FAGUO was founded in 2009 by
two young creators. FAGUO is a brand aware of its impact and actor of change. Since
2009, FAGUO has been planting a tree for each accessory and pair of shoes sold with the
will to compensate the carbon emission of its activity. In order to be aware of its impact
on the environment, a carbon footprint is calculated each year according to the ADEME
methodology. The button sewn on each accessory and pair of shoes symbolizes this action.
In december 2012, around 160 000 trees will have been planted in France and Belgium in more
than 30 plantations. FAGUO has also developed a responsible attitude in order to reduce its
carbon footprint. For example, the brand has decided shipping its production to Paris and
uses a recycled cardboard packaging. Also, FAGUO entrusts a Work Integration Center with
handicapped people to handle its logistics (storage and shipment). FAGUO is an open-minded
brand, represented on the main social networks and closed to its community.
FAGUO est une marque de chaussures et accessoires au style casual et trendy. Dynamique et responsable, la marque s’adresse aux citadins attentifs qui aiment la simplicité et l’action. Elle a été fondée en 2009 par deux jeunes créateurs.
FAGUO est une marque consciente de son impact et acteur du changement. Depuis sa création, FAGUO plante un arbre pour chaque accessoire et paire de chaussures vendus, dans la volonté de compenser les émissions de carbone de son activité. Afin de connaitre son impact sur l’environnement, un Bilan Carbone® est effectué annuellement selon la méthode de l’ADEME. Le bouton en noix de coco cousu sur chaque accessoire et paire de chaussures symbolise cette action. En décembre 2012, ce seront près de 160 000 arbres qui auront été plantés en France et en Belgique sur 30 plantations.En amont FAGUO met en place des actions afin de réduire son impact carbone. Par exemple, la marque utilise les transports par voie fluviale pour l’acheminement de sa production jusqu’à Paris et propose des emballages en carton recyclé. En parallèle, FAGUO confie l’envoi et le stockage des accessoires et paire de chaussures à un ESAT, établissement d’aide par le travail pour des personnes handicapées.
FAGUO c’est également une marque spontanée, ouverte d’esprit, en quête de proximité avec sa communauté qui ne cesse de s’agrandir sur les réseaux sociaux notamment.
