Charge material

ZINC-COATED SHEET (ZN)These sheets are subject to a continuous hot galvanising process on both sides, which protects the steel core against corrosion. A specific surface ‘bloom’ is optional. The ‘non-bloom’ version has a smooth and uniform surface which conforms to the highest aesthetical requirements.

ALUZINC (AZ)A steel sheet, coated with an aluminium-zinc alloy on both sides. The use of a process similar to hot galvanising brings it into conformity with the strictest requirements as regards resistance to atmospheric corrosion and the corrosion that occurs in humid environments. An additional SPT polymeric coating, known as Easyfilm®, protects the edges of steel coils and increases the aesthetical value of the surface. ALUZINC steel sheets are covered by a 25-year warranty period.*

METAL SHEETS WITH ORGANIC COATING [INT, RAL, TK, TKep, HC, AL, ICep®, PUR, HPS]BLACHPROFIL 2® coated steel sheets are manufactured on the basis of a hot galvanised charge material or coated with a dedicated alloy (PREMIUM class coatings). This material, purified in a preliminary chemical treatment process, is subject to passivation, and is then multilayered with one of many available coatings. This provides metallic surfaces and the steel core with excellent protection against atmospheric impact. The coatings may be of different thickness, colour and surface texture, with warranty periods of up to 40 years*.

Standard coatings: used in the majority of standard applications, where the price is an important factor and the product is not exposed to extremely unfavourable conditions.

The charge material has high utility and aesthetic parameters. It is widely used on sites characterised by increased adverse environmental impact and as an aesthetical addition in standard construction projects.

Cutting edge products with the highest quality parameters. The use of technologically advanced protective materials translates into an extensive warranty period. In terms of durability, aesthetics and reliability, these products are mainly used in the most demanding applications.

For ease of identification, we have introduced three classes of coating:

A cold-rolled core, made of constructional steel, is hot-dip zinc-coated, or, in the case of the PREMIUM class steel sheet, coated with a dedicated alloy.

The Premium Class steel sheets are manufactured on the basis of specifically selected components, and advanced technological processes. As a result, roof and facade coverings made of such steel sheets demonstrate significantly increased parameters, concerning the key criteria for such products, i.e.: resistance to corrosion, and resistance to UV radiation.

The diagram above illustrates a general level of resistance to corrosion and UV radiation, concerning each type of metal sheets with organic coating.

The sheets manufactured according to the ZM technology use a zinc-magnesium alloy (ZM), so as to protect the core. The diagram above illustrates an extended period of time, prior to the occurring of corrosion, concerning standard zinc-coated and Aluzinc sheets. The comparison has been made on a material without the protective organic layer.

HERCULIT®

Steel sheets of the PREMIUM Class

Aluminum sheets

Due to its properties (extremely high resistance to corrosion, lightness and plasticity), aluminum is widely used in the most demanding areas, such as motorization, aircraft and marine industries.

Using profile aluminum sheets with organic coating in construction brings essential benefits of its properties:

Roofs made of aluminum are very durable and esthetical. They maintain their properties with minimum maintenance works.

Good formability enables precise shapes of coverings.

Almost whole material can be recycled.

Due to light weight (aluminum sheet with the thickness of 0.60 mm is 2.5 times lighter than a steel sheet with the thickness of 0.50 mm), coverings made of this material are perfect for buildings with the limited roof structure capacity.

Matt, structural, organic coating is characterized by high resistance to discolouration caused by UV radiation.

Our aluminum sheets are covered with matt coating of high resistance to weather conditions, well varnish adherence and great resistance to corrosion. Production is eco-friendly. What is more, cutting edges are better protected, thus they do not have to be varnish-protected for external use. Aluminum core is coated with a high quality double organic layer (HydroCoat® Poliester) with the thickness of 25 µm and unique matt structure similar to TK coating.

IMPORTANT! Due to the properties of aluminum sheet, it is not allowed to walk on the installed covering, as this may result in marks which the manufacturer is not responsible for. If needed, walk on the roof with the greatest caution.

The ArcelorMittal steel concern has developed the GRANITE® Storm coating as specifically dedicated to roof and facade

coverings. The purpose behind the implementation of this product was to ensure the best material properties, in the

key areas for such applications, i.e. corrosion and mechanical resistances, and resistance to UV radiation.

The high flexibility and durability of the GRANITE® Storm coating make it possible to use this material to manufacture any profile of steel roofing tiles, without the risk of micro-cracks occurring.

These sheets feature a lustreless coating of the PUR type (polyurethane), and are permanently available in the following colours: graphite grey [PUR 23], brown [PUR 31], black [PUR 33], and brick-red [PUR 750].

One of the advantages of sheets with the GRANITE® Storm coating is the high aesthetic value of the covering made of these sheets. This quality is becoming more and more important in the construction of residential buildings. The lustreless coating of granular surface quality features

an excellent resistance to discolouration. This covering retains a uniform colour on the entire surface, regardless of the roof configuration and the differences occurring on its surface, in relation to the exposure to UV radiation and weather conditions. It also provides high resistance to mechanical

damage and scratching, which reduces the risk of damage, during transport and installation, and consequently reduces the possibility of corrosion.

GRANITE® Storm is a registred trademark of ArcelorMittal Flat Carbon Europe SA.

GRANITE® Storm sheets

The list below demonstrates the most significant features of sheets with the GRANITE® Storm coating:

It is not permitted to combine sheets with the GRANITE® Storm coating with sheets having other coatings, on the same roof covering (even if their surface structure and colouring are visually identical). Different products demonstrate various reactions to environmental factors, since the chemical composition of the coating includes different polymers, thus resulting in appearance differences, when using the covering.

GAMMA® steel roof tiles are a modern roof cladding with shapes inspired by classic ceramic tiles. The unique feature of GAMMA® roof tiles is their symmetric shape, making them easier to work with and install. Combined with high ribs, this results in a great aesthetic effect.

The construction of the GAMMA® roof tile sheets hide the cut edge and increases the aesthetics of the cladding. The length of the overlap is only 20 mm,

reducing material loss. Additionally, the symmetric shape of the GAMMA® tiles enables the use of cut sheet sections, resulting in significant material savings, especially on multi-slope roofs.

The Zet® modular steel roof tiles are drastically different from other available solutions. Their unique features are highly beneficial. The main advantages of the Zet® modular tiles are:

high “Z”-type ribbing, making screws and joints less visible,

guaranteed colour and structure repeatability, and UV resistance,

precision level never before achieved of every element of roof system thanks to robotic, automated production line,

off-the-shelf availability and immediate shipment to any place in Poland and abroad,

professional product packing and protection reducing the risk of damage during loading, transport and unloading,

cutting edge protection unavailable for traditional ceramic tiles against corrosion thanks to the “Z”-type ribbing (patent protected),

reduction of average use of screws. “Z”-type ribbing operates as a zipper, eliminating the needs of folding sheets in this place, therefore, screws that are required in competitive products become useless,

unlimited freedom in forming coverings and reduction of material waste to a minimum thanks to symmetricalness of a module,

dedicated processing and INGURI® gutter system complementing perfect roof system.

Zet® modular steel roof tiles are manufactured from sheets with HERCULIT® and MAT 35 Standard coatings, available with multi year warranties without the need to purchase additional elements.

The warranty period for Zet® module sheet roof tiles in HERCULIT® coating is 30 years*.The warranty period for Zet® module sheet roof tiles in MAT 35 Standard coating is 15 years*.

Zet®roof is the basic version of the Zet® modular roof tiles.

Dynamics of shapes of slope geometry of the Zet®roof modular steel roof tiles makes it perfect for modern, unconventional construction. Thanks to high ribbing similar to traditional ceramic roof tiles, it is widely used in renovated and monumental facilities.Great esthetics of this cladding is also achieved by hiding joints in shades created thanks to “Z”-type ribs and lack of screws on the ribbing surface

Zet®look is the development of the Zet®roof modular sheet roof tiles.

With the benefits of the system’s basic version, this variant is characterized by total elimination of screws visible on the roof surface. Thanks to the advanced installation system, being at the same time extremely easy for assembly, screws are hidden under sheets which gives attractive, symmetrical roof covering without any visible fixing elements or assembly holes.

This is the perfect solution where the greatest esthetics is required. Product technical parameters, packaging and protection are the same as for Zet®roof.

Zet®look modular roof tile sheet has already made cuttings in the overlapping part with assembly holes. Thus, installation place is covered with another sheet, which provides roof covering without any visible fixing parts and ensures the greatest esthetics.

Assembly of the Zet®look steel modular roof tile sheets is based on the perforation system on the elements formed in line with battens’ area. Therefore, the overlapping part (hidden under another sheet) has been elongated compared to the Zet®roof version.

Modularity – size

Z-type vertical ribs

The patented rib form is what sets the Zet® modular roof tile apart. Traditional steel tiles have ribs at a right angle form the module surface. The Zet® modular roof tiles use a more advanced solution: the cross-section of the two modules and a rib in between forms the shape of the letter “Z” and the rib is directed at an acute angle towards the lower module surface.

This profile shape has multiple advantages: practicality: quicker and easier installation, elimination of the

need to use screws on the rib surface (lock feature) aesthetics: no screws on rib surfaces, less screws on the roof

surface. The joints between three sheets are less visible. Furthermore, the “Z”-type ribs create deep shades, covering the screws and horizontal joints between sheets, resulting in a distinct character of the cladding, similar to a traditional ceramic tile roof.

safety: water flows around the horizontal joints, reducing the risk of corrosion in these places.

“Z”-type ribs works as a locking joint between sheets. This eliminates the need to bind the sheets with screws on rib surfaces. This improves installation speed and safety as well as the aesthetic effect by the reduction of the number of visible screws.

The dedicated ridge tiles were designed specifically for the Zet® steel roof tiles, this is why their diameter and rib layout are fully compatible with the cladding.

The compact size of the Zet® modular tiles compared to the traditional roof cladding systems results in great improvements for transport, installation and waste management. Due to the modular design, the cladding can be installed quickly and effectively, limiting the accompanying costs.

Page 27: CATALOGUE 2017 - BLACHPROFIL 2 | Home€¦ · 3 P rofessionalism stands for the comprehensive customer service and high operating standards which form our fundamental approach towards

27

The Zet® modular steel roof tiles are symmetrical, they can be installed in any direction – with overlaps to the left or to the right. The selection of the installation direction may be a result of an aesthetic choice. Maintain the batten spacing of 350 mm.Correct installation requires maintaining the sheet order as presented on the diagram below (in case of installation from the right).

The correct installation method for the Zet® modular roof tiles is a staggered layout, in which the rows of sheets are shifted in relation to one another. This solution is possible due to the symmetrical shape of the sheets. The advantage to this panel layout is the lack of four sheet joints. Furthermore, vertical joints are not continuous, improving the aesthetic effect.

Due to the design of the sheets (“Z”-type rib), the sheets cannot be lifted straight up from the package. Before lifting the sheet, it must be slid a few centimeters forward to avoid damaging the coating on the sheet below – see drawing.

The Zet® modular roof tiles are supplied on non-returnable pallets. The cladding can be delivered without specialised transportation. A single pallet contains 264 sheets, equivalent to 212.5 m2 of effective cladding. Light modules enable easy handling by a single person (e.g. stairwell transport) without the need to employ specialised equipment.

The pallet with Zet® modular roof tile sheets is covered by a protective cover. If the sheets are not all used after unpacking, the remaining sheets must be covered by the protective cover.

Screw fitting locations (for the Zet®roof version)

Transport and installation

The standard accessories of Zet® modular roof tiles include versatile protective elements: styrofoam spacers (their shape accurately matches the form of the sheets), dedicated reusable cover with ties (to protect unused material), stretch film and straps. Professional packing and protection of the modules reduce the risk of damage and scratches during loading, transport and unloading. This also protects the sheets against adverse weather conditions during storage.

The panels are available in two versions (LAMBDA® L38 and LAMBDA® L25) and are extremely versatile in shaping the cladding design. They are characterised by a simple and universal form with broad customisation possibilities for: seam height, total width, covering width, optional ribs. Such a wide selection of roof design options may either accentuate the traditional form of the building or result in a sleek and modern look, depending on the building type and selected material.

Numerous specification selection options enable accurate matching of the panel shapes to the roof construction and building character.

The use of a click lock joint enables quick and secure installation, the design of the panels results in hiding the fasteners, improving the overall aesthetics of the cladding.

DR!PSTOP® – anti-condensation coating

SUNDCONTROL® sound-absorbing coating

Condensation of water vapour is a phenomenon that occurs with uninsulated steel roofs. It can lead to the appearance of specific problems, such as corrosion, attic moisture, and damage to materials below. BLACHPROFIL 2® offers a simple, economical, and effective way to deal with ceiling drip: the application of DR!PSTOP® anti-condensation coating. This self-adhesive membrane is applied to the underside of the sheet metal. The main advantages of this technology are:

The use of the SUNDCONTROL® sound-absorbing coating on steel roof and facade coverings results in a significant improving of the level of acoustic insulating power. Consequently, the noise generated by atmospheric precipitation falling on the covering, and sound propagation inside the building, are reduced. Roof coverings with the SOUNDCONTROL® coating are applied in all types of facilities that require high acoustic standards, resulting from their size or purpose, such as: production halls, sports arena, agricultural facilities, and residential buildings. The SOUNDCONTROL® coating can also function as an anti-condensation membrane, since it features very high properties, concerning moisture absorption.

Installation guidelines and requirements concerning ventilation in the building are the same, as for the DR!PSTOP® anti-condensation coating described below.

Anti-condensation coating is applied on a strip of flat sheet metal before it is shaped to form. This ensures ideal fitting to the entire roof covering.

Application: DR!PSTOP® anti-drip coating is used in every type of construction with metal roofing. These include residential and industrial construction, sports facilities, farm buildings and every type of shelter and awning (such as petrol stations).

Assembly guidelines: During the assembly, the DR!PSTOP® anti-condensation coating must be removed from places which do not allow for the outflow of moist air. Most of all, this applies to:1. Fragments of roofing directly above the wall and outside the building’s limits,2. Places where sheets overlap – in case where the roofing consists of several sheets joined by length.

We can use sheets with the DR!PSTOP® coating to manufacture any of the steel roof tile or trapezoid sheet profiles available in our offering. For roof panels installed on battens, we recommend using the SOUNDCONTROL® coating.

absorption of moisture appearing on the interior side of the roof resulting from water vapour condensation,

additional protection against processes of corrosion (especially in buildings with active chemical environments, such as livestock facilities)

higher resistance than standard insulation and steam barriers, does not degrade, resistant to tearing,

easy to clean using ordinary cleaning equipment (hose or pressure washer),

increase in acoustic insulation of roof,

 non-flammable, resistant to bacterial degradation.

Evening hours – when the dew point is reached, water begins forming droplets on the internal side of the roof sheeting.

Proper ventilation – chimney ensures outlet for moist air. Improper ventilation – moist air is not vented.

PropertiesThe process of vapour condensation begins when the atmospheric conditions reach the dew point – that is, when the temperature and humidity reach the point at which water in the atmosphere begins to form droplets. This typically occurs at sunset. At night, the water vapour drips from uninsulated roofing. The anti-condensation coating is a membrane with specially-designed pockets that trap water, on one hand preventing them from dripping, and on the other hand insulating the roofing from direct contact. During the day the moisture evaporates back into the atmosphere.

Nighttime hours- DR!PSTOP® coating soaks up and traps the droplets. This prevents the dripping water that occurs with unprotected roofing.

In the case of buildings, the phenomena of condensation may be exacerbated by the difference in temperature – the building interior remains warm while the outside temperature falls. The thermal conduction properties of steel roof covering causes greater condensation of water vapour from the warm interior on the inside of the roof covering. DR!PSTOP® guarantees effective protection of the roof covering and the materials below it by halting the dripping process.

In order for the DR!PSTOP® membrane to function properly, proper ventilation of the building is required. Because humid air is lighter than dry air, it collects under the roof. For the anti-condensation coating to evaporate and remove moisture during the day, ventilation of the moist air is necessary. This factor must be considered in design of the roof. As one of the solutions of building roof ventilation are the indications of the standard DIN 4108-3.

WARNING! Binding is permanent. DR!PSTOP® material cannot be removed and applied again. When using DR!PSTOP® on industrial buildings, it is recommended to wash it with a fungicidal product at least once a year. During the roofing’s assembly the phenomenon of capillary action. Hence, the DR!PSTOP® should be manually removed around the eaves and ridges (minimum clearance of 10 cm). The sheets with the applied anti-condensation coating should stick closely to the structure’s props and frames. Therefore, regardless of the profile, they should be mounted to the props in each lower wave.

During the day, the anti-drip coating allows moisture to evaporate.

The wall trays are attached to the support pillars [1]. If the trays are made of steel, the use of rivets is recommended [3]. In all other cases, the connectors are individually matched with the material from which the pillars are made. The sealing tape is placed along the pillars [2], on the front of the tray [5] and between the trays [6]. Use 4.8 x 20mm connectors [4] for fastening vertically connected trays. Maintain a ~1cm distance for horizontally connected trays [7], in order to enable the structure to operate smoothly.

The wall tray is a component of the PROSYSTHERM® façade coating system offered by BLACHPROFIL 2®. It uses an innovative method for

installing the dedicated double-thick mineral wool in the trays, in order to provide tight covering of the joints. Such a structure reduces

the occurrence of linear heat leakage bridges in the outer walls, and, consequently, minimises heat loss. The system is supplemented with

a trapezoid sheet and a set of mounting and sealing accessories. PROSYSTHERM® has been tested in terms of thermal, acoustic

and fire insulation. All the tests confirmed that the system meets high requirements in all these categories. Every structural component of the

system has the appropriate technical approvals.

Mineral wool – the properties of mineral wool make walls made of steel trays extremely simple to insulate. The insulation can be installed on-site without the need for qualified people. No tools are required. An important feature of mineral wool, which reduces heat loss, is that it incorporates

a special groove enabling the wool to be installed in such a way as to cover the joints between trays tightly. Advantages of double-thick mineral wool:

High thermal insulation; Non-flammable and fire resistant; High sound resistance; Allows vapour permeation; Moisture resistance; Simple and quick assembly.

Wall trays constitute the internal part of the PROSYSTHERM® façade system. They are installed directly onto structural pillars by means of a dedicated system of shot-in rivets. The seals are installed between each tray and between the trays and the elements of the load-bearing structure.

Advantages of wall trays: High strength; Low weight; Easy and quick assembly.

Detailed information on BLACHPROFIL 2® PROSYSTHERM® wall trays is available from the specific product sheet.

Trapezoid sheet - The external coating is made of trapezoid sheets. Any BLACHPROFIL 2® trapezoid sheet profile can be used. The trapezoid sheets are attached to trays, using screws specific to the purpose. Additional membrane between the profile and wool may

also be used.

Detailed information on BLACHPROFIL 2® trapezoid sheets is available from the specific product sheets.

Other system elements - PROSYSTHERM® can be easily and quickly assembled, thanks to the product-specific mounting and sealing elements. The properties of the connectors, shot-in rivets and

seals guarantee that all the operational parameters of the system will be maintained. Self-drilling distance connectors maintain a permanent 40 mm distance between the overlap of the wall trays and the outer trapezoid sheet coating, enabling the full utilisation of the insulating properties of mineral wool during the entire service life.

Elevation cassettes

Elevation lining based on the system of steel cassettes are mainly used in office and industrial construction as well as retail and public-use buildings. Modern form and possibility to use materials with various textures and colours allows for considering such characteristics in the design as reflectance, symmetricity and proportionality, helping with the desired aesthetic effect. Additional elasticity is achieved through a wide range of possibilities for adjusting the cladding’s length and width as well as the bindings’ length. The universality of elevation cassettes is additionally enhanced by the ease of joining with other materials within the elevation. Because of that, they can be used is sophisticated and innovative architectural designs. Excellent technical and resistance parameters allow the elevation cassettes to meet the rigorous requirements of prestigious construction.

The advantage of protection walls built with the use of elevation cassettes is a quick and straightforward assembly. They can be used on any wall, suspended on a substructure which is a steel grate made of Omega 30/90 profiles. The cassettes are mounted to them through kidney slots which allow for the compensation of tensions. Because Omega 30/90 profiles are the basis for joining the cassettes vertically, they are made of the same material as the cassettes, which gives the effect of even surface. For additional hardening, Omega 30/50 profiles are used. Joining the cassettes horizontally takes place on the basis of a zip, thanks to adequately profiled lower and upper edges of the cassettes.

Using elevation cassettes allows for aesthetic and long-lasting finishing of the elevation. They can be used on the whole building or on the selected, representative fragments such as front elevations of buildings’ office parts. Distinguishing the building’s elevation parts with the form and finishing materials is a solution that is often used in modern construction. In such projects, elevation cassettes, thanks to the wide range of colours and elasticity of measurements, are the ideal choice. In order to preserve the high level of aesthetics and functionality of the elevation, we supply system corners and individually produced processed parts.

Cassettes are mounted to Omega type profiles. In places where the cassettes are joined, Omega 30/90 profiles are used which are made of the same material as the cladding. Additionally, Omega 30/50 hardening profiles can be used which are made of galvanised metal sheet (they remain invisible once assembled).

Gutter support

An element for additional gutter fixing to the roof construction. Prevents gutter deformations or breaking off due to increased loads, e.g. snow sliding off the roof.

Corner cover

The cover prevents water from flowing over the corner. It is especially important for internal corners, receiving large volumes of water from the valley gutter. It also has an aesthetic purpose.

Gutter

INGURI® gutter shape has been designed in a way that assures high effectiveness of water discharge. It is deep and properly shaped, to receive water from roofing even during intense rainfalls, eliminating the risk of overflowing. We manufacture gutters in standard lengths of 4 and 3 metres. Custom lengths may be ordered individually.

Gutter fasteners

Sections of gutters, or gutters with corners are connected using dedicated fasteners. The INGURI® systems are equipped with clamp fasteners (snap mechanism) that assure durable connection, as well as quick and easy installation. The fasteners are provided with seals in standard, which guarantee tightness of the joint. They are also made of steel sheet of identical color as other elements of the system, adding to the overall aesthetics. Moreover, the fastener comes with stabilizer, stiffening the joint.
