VHF OPERATION POSITIONSOFTWARE (SW-VHF-C)
The operation position is part of a communication system run by a server that is in charge ofcontrolling the different equipment that form the system. The link between the server and theoperation Position is made through the Ethernet network.
The program can control up to a maximum of 8 telephone lines, 15 VHF Duplex equipment, 10Simplex equipment and supervise the state of 8 Autolink equipment.
At the same time, it allows communication only with one line, with one ship only or with both atthe same time.
Due to its dynamism there can be, simultaneously, up to a maximum of 8 telephone integrationsbetween the subscriber and the ship.
It has an independent time counter per line in the telephone integrations for its later rating. Thecounter has an automatic stop.
It also has an alarm system to tell the opeator, when told so. (Case of navigators warning).
It also has record files of the operations and integrations made.
Communications between simplex and duplex equipment can be made.
It can be connected in as many positions as allowed from the server.
Supervises the connection with the server and the Tx and Rx matrices. It allows Duplex-Relaycommunications.
The receivers monitoring can be distributed in several speakers.

VHF COMMUNICATIONS SERVERSOFTWARE (SW-VHF-S)
The VHF Communications System is basically formed by a Server where a software applicationis executed. This application manages and controls the different independent units; TR-450-AVHF Duplex Transceivers, TR-350-A VHF Simplex Transceivers, MT-200-B Audio SwitchMatrices, IT-200-A Telephone Integrated units, etc. It is also formed by one or several ClientsOperation Positions where the radiocommunication operations take place. This operationstake place through a software application.
The Server handles each of the System units by means of an RX-232C Serial Port connection.When you want to stablish a communication with the units located in remote positions, it will benecessary to use Modems or Radiolinks that allow the exchange of RS-323C between theServer and the corresponding units. On the other hand, the Operation Positions, communicatewith the Server through a Local Ethernet Network.
An example with different possibilities of units interconnection is shown in the diagram of figure1.
The Server provides the Operation Positions the possibility of assigning VHF Transceiver units(Simplex and Duplex) to make different radiocommunication operations with such units.
Furthermore, the Server can keep VHF units to be used in other services or systems anothersthan the VHF Communication System itself (for example, G.M.D.S.S.).
