SINGLE-LINE/DOUBLE-LINE PUMPING UNITProduct descriptionThe GEO-TEC Single-Line DN 25 Solar Station is a single-linesolar pumping unit with all the equipment necessary for ope-ration. It installs in the return flow and is equipped with a WiloST 25/6 pump. The pump can be shut off by means of a ballvalve and a flowmeter that can be completely shut off, makingit possible to replace the pump without much involved.

The SR III system controller impresses people with simple operation in spite of va-ried control possibilities. GEO-TEC Thermoflex Solar Tubing Systems consist of twotubes glued to one another, and insulated high-gradesteel corrugated tubes.The insulation and sheathing are high-temperature-resistant and available in customised lengths.Simple separation of the twin tubes without damaging theprotective foil or the insulation enable problem-free tu-bing of the solar collector system.The Easy Drill Screw-Connection Kit allows very simplescrewed connections of the high-grade steel corrugatedtube to the lines and fittings.The GEO-TEC Thermoflex tubing systems are providedwith a black, tear-resistant outer sheathing.Available in lengths of: 10 m, 15 m, 20 m or 25 m. Cus-tomised lengths are possible up to 100 m, and will be sup-plied on request.

The tubes are rolled in bundles, EWK to DN 20 in 800 x 800cardboard box, EWK DN 25 shrink-wrapped on pallets.Comes with: As standard, four Screw Connection Kits withoutside thread and one oval clamp fastening set comespacked with each EWK bundle.

General Terms of Business S O L A R T E C H N I K

Our Terms and Conditions of Business below apply to all price quotes,contracts, deliveries and other performance.Any conditions by a Client differing from these, also including mere ad-ditional conditions, which we have not expressly approved in writing,shall be excluded, even if we have not expressly opposed such in theindividual case.

1. Price quotes and acceptance of ordersOur price quotations are subject to confirmation. Orders as well as anychanges to orders placed with us shall be binding for the Buyer in allcases, irrespective of whether they are direct or via our sales repre-sentatives in the field. Orders and changes placed with us shall onlybecome binding on our written confirmation of the order.

2. PricesAll prices are ex works and, unless something else is agreed, are inwithout turnover tax (VAT), which shall be charged at the respectivevalid rate. All prices are current prices. For orders without an expressprice agreement, the prices for the day of delivery shall apply. We areentitled to make appropriate price increases if, after quoting a price,changes occur in the prices of raw materials or supplies, wages,salaries, freight or other public charges. Cash discounts, discounts andtime allowed for payment shall require special agreement.

3. Delivery, passing of risk, shipping & packagingDeliveries are carried out ex our warehouse. Unless otherwise agreedin writing, shipping is carried out chargeable to and at the risk of theordering party. Our deliveries shall be considered as carried out upontransfer to the Buyer, the haulage company or haulage contractor, orwhen notification is made of readiness for dispatch. Our deliveries aresubject to correct deliveries on schedule by our front-end suppliers.Freight costs as well as the costs of any insurance for shipping thatmight be requested by the Buyer shall be chargeable to the Buyer. Theexecution of any special loading or shipping rules set by Buyers shallbe carried out at the Buyer’s risk and expense.We shall be entitled to carry out partial performance to a reasonableextent. If in our opinion packaging is required, it shall be carried outin the manner usual in the trade always at the Buyer’s expense.

4. Time periods for and dates of delivery

1. Delivery dates specified should only be considered as approximate.Any agreement of fixed deadlines shall require our express confir-mation to be effective. When a fixed deadline had been agreed,then the time period for delivery shall begin with the date of ac-ceptance of the order, but not before complete clarification of allthe details for its execution. If the Buyer is obliged to obtain anydocuments, specifications, permits or clearances, or to furnish adown payment, then the time period for delivery shall not beginuntil such obligations have been met.

2. If we are not able to deliver within the contractually agreed periodof time, then, having set a grace period for us in writing of at least14 days that threatens refusal, the Buyer may withdraw from the

contract subject to the provision in Para. 3. The Client shall only beentitled to claims for compensation in cases of damages due todelay or non-performance if the delivery has been delayed due togross fault on the part of the contractor, a properly constitutedagent or one of our managing salaried employees.

3. Any unforeseen circumstances, for which we are not responsible,such as force majeure, war, uprisings, lock-ins or lock-outs, strikesand lock-outs, difficulties procuring materials, operational inter-ruptions, energy shortages, lack of means of transport and similarcircumstances (also if such occur at front-end suppliers’) shall ex-tend the delivery period commensurately, this being by at least theduration of the hindrance if such hinders us from meeting our com-mitments on time. If it is foreseeable that a delay in delivery willlast longer than two months, then both parties shall be entitled towithdraw. Buyers may not derive any claims for damages from an ex-tension of the time period for delivery, even in cases of withdrawal.We shall also not be responsible for the aforementioned circum-stances if they develop during a delay already existing. In importantcases, we will notify ordering parties as soon as possible about thestart and end of such hindrances.

5. Payment1. Unless otherwise agreed, our invoices are due and payable strictly

net within 14 days as of the invoice date without any deductions.Before old invoices already due and payable from earlier deliveriesare paid, no deductions will be granted on new invoices.

2. Bills of exchange will only be accepted with a relevant agreementand even then (as also with cheques) only on account of perform-ance. Discount charges and other costs shall be borne by the draweeand must be immediately reimbursed. We shall not be liable for time-ly submission, protests, etc. What is more, accepting a bill of exchangeshall not extend the term of payment of the purchase price.

3. From the time when due and payable on, 1% in interest after duedate will be charged per month begun. If this clause should be in-effective, interest after due date is agreed in the amount of 10 %p.A.

4. In case of default on payment, we charge banking debit interestunless the Client proves that our damages are lower than this flatrate. At least the agreed interest after due date, however, shall beowed also after the default occurs. The assertion of claims for dam-ages caused by default that are actually higher shall not be ruledout.

5. If the Client goes into default on payment or acceptance, all out-standing invoices shall immediately become due and payable. Incase of non-compliance with payment obligations within the scopeof the business relations or in case of a proven deterioration in theClient’s financial position, we shall be entitled to make any furtherwork on the order as well as its delivery dependent on reasonablesecurity or cash in advance. If our products have already been de-livered, then we may demand immediate payment of the entireamount remaining regardless of the terms of payment agreed. Thisshall also apply if it should later emerge that the financial positionhad been substantially worse when the contract was concluded thanwe had assumed. If the security or advance payment are not pro-vided within a reasonable time limit to be set by us, we shall be en-titled to withdraw.

6. The assertion of rights of lien or retention and set-offs againstcounterclaims shall be inadmissible unless the counterclaims havebeen legally established or accepted by us.

7. Payments shall always be credited to the oldest outstanding invoiceor account receivable. The Buyer will be charged with any expensesarising in connection with bank transfers or based on documentarycollection and documentary credit for our deliveries in the Buyer’scountry or the country of destination.

6. Reservation of title1. All merchandise and products we deliver are delivered only under

reservation of title and extended reservation of title. The merchan-dise shall remain our property until full payment is made (in casesof payment by cheques and/or bills of exchange, until they arecashed) for all debts arising from the business relations, includingaccessory claims and claims for damages. This shall also apply if allor individual claims of ours are included in a current account, andthe balance has been drawn and accepted. If a payment is made bya cheque/bill-of-exchange transaction (acceptor’s bill), the prop-erty shall not be transferred until the bill has been cashed withoutreservation.

2. The Client may neither pledge nor assign by way of security reservedmerchandise (i.e. also merchandise that is still in our co-ownershipafter being connected, mixed or processed according to the fol-lowing conditions).

3. If important contractual obligations are violated, in particular incase of default of payment, then, after a dunning procedure, weshall be entitled to take back the merchandise, the Buyer beingunder obligation to surrender such. Unless the Statute Covering In-stalment Sales is applied, our taking back or seizing merchandiseshall only imply withdrawal from the contract if we expressly de-clare this in writing. If, in case of default of payment, we exerciseour right to take back merchandise and take back merchandise de-livered under reservation of title, a credit for this shall only be madein the amount of 50% of the purchase price set off. The differenceshall be for covering our expenses, such as freight costs, new mar-keting costs, packaging costs, etc. The Client shall retain the rightto furnish proof of less damage.

4. The Client must immediately inform us about seizures or any otherimpending adverse effect on our rights by third parties, stating thedetails of the circumstances that enable intervention.

5. The Buyer shall be entitled to process or resell the reserved mer-chandise in the course of orderly business. The Client’s receivablesarising from reselling the reserved merchandise are already now as-signed to us as security for all of our claims arising from the busi-ness relation. We accept this assignment. If the reservedmerchandise is sold with third-party merchandise either in aprocessed or unprocessed condition, the receivables shall only beconsidered as assigned in the amount of the invoice value of the re-served merchandise delivered by us. The Client shall be authorisedto collect the receivables assigned, doing so for us in a fiduciary ca-pacity. This authorisation to collect may be revoked if the Buyerdoes not properly fulfil its payment obligations arising from thecontract on which they are based. If: payment is suspended; bank-ruptcy, composition proceedings in or out of court or any other de-

terioration of assets is applied for or proceedings for such are in-stituted, we may furthermore demand that the Client: notify us bothof the receivables assigned and of their debtor; provide all the in-formation required to collect the receivables; hand over the perti-nent documents and inform the debtors about the assignment. TheClient furthermore authorises us already now for such a case as thisto inform the buyers about the assignment of future claim.

6. We shall be under obligation to release our choice of the items ofsecurity given to us on demand by the Buyer if their value exceedsthe receivables still existing vis-à-vis the Client by more than 20%.

7. Taking back merchandiseIn case merchandise is taken back that is subject to special agree-ments, no claim shall exist to the purchase price being paid back, butrather only to the delivery of replacement merchandise.

8. Make-and-hold ordersUnless otherwise agreed for make-and-hold order, the merchandisemust be completely called one year at the latest after being ordered.When one year is up we shall be entitled to charge for the merchan-dise, demanding its immediate payment.We shall furthermore be entitled to charge for the storage costs ac-cording to the rates in the haulage industry. The current price valid ap-plicable on the date of delivery shall apply for make-and-hold orders.

9. Notices of defects, warranty & liability1. The merchandise we deliver must be inspected on arrival without

delay for proper quality, specific performance and completeness.Complaints must be made in writing. In cases of discernable de-fects, we must receive objections immediately after receipt of themerchandise. Defects which cannot be established with a propercommercial inspection must be asserted in writing within a timelimit of three months after the ordering party receives the mer-chandise, with the right of recourse for defects being lost.We shall not take responsibility either for material defects caused byunsuited or improper storage, transport or manipulation, uses, in-correct installation or commissioning by the customer or third par-ties, usual wear, faulty or negligent handling or for anyconsequences of improper alterations or repair work carried out bythe customer or third parties without our consent. The same shallapply to defects that reduce the value or suitability of the mer-chandise only to an insignificant degree. We must in any event begiven opportunity to ascertain defects given notification of. Mer-chandise objected to must be sent back to us immediately on re-quest. Claims arising from defects shall be lost if the customer doesnot fulfil these obligations or, without our approval, carries out al-terations to merchandise already objected to.

2. In case of material defects, only reworking or replacements may bedemanded. If reworking and/or replacement should fail, the Clientshall be entitled to demand a lowering of the purchase price (re-duction) or cancellation of the purchase contract (nullification ofthe sale).

3. Regardless of for what reason, we shall only be liable for grosslyculpable behaviour by the Contractor itself, our executive bodies orour management employees. Any liability for slight negligence andall fault of vicarious agents shall be excluded. If there is some lia-bility under our conditions, the compensation for damages may notexceed the loss incurred and the profit not realised, which the partyhaving violated the contract, allowing for circumstances that itknew about or should have known about when the contract was con-cluded.

4. In cases of functional defects on collectors, for five years as of theissue date of the invoice from GEO-TEC we offer (free of charge exworks) replacement for materials which demonstrably have not metone of the requirements of the standard EN 12975. A function guar-antee shall only be granted on collectors if all the main componentsof the collector system (fastening materials, pumping unit, frostprotection, expansion tank, storage unit, control system and metalcladding) are from GEO - TEC and verification is furnished both ofinstallation in technically correct fashion (in accordance with thestate of the art) and regular maintenance by qualified personnel(maintenance contract with a specialised company licensed to doso). A ten-year guarantee shall be granted for systems in Austria ifall the main components of the collector system (fastening mate-rials, pumping unit, frost protection, expansion tank, storage unit,control system and metal cladding) are from GEO - TEC and verifi-cation is furnished both of installation in technically correct fash-ion (in accordance with the state of the art) and regularmaintenance by qualified personnel (maintenance contract with aspecialised company licensed to do so).

Any liability shall, however, be ruled out for damage due to me-chanical strain or changes resulting from influences caused byweather. Slight colour deviations or spoiling of the surface whichhave no influence on the collector’s functioning shall also be ex-cluded from the warranty. What is more, no guarantee shall be as-sumed for glass breakage. Liability shall be excluded for damagedue to force majeure and malfunctions attributable to improper as-sembly or installation of our products. No liability shall be assumedfor any consequential damage due to defects.

The preconditions for liability by GEO-TEC Solartechnik GmbH arethat:

• The installation was carried out according to the installation in-structions in the respective valid version using the pertinent in-stallation materials from the GEO-TEC organisation.

• The assembly was carried out by an authorised specialised com-pany (heating engineer or fitter).

• GEO-TEC and/or its representatives have been provided the op-portunity to inspect complaints on site immediately after anysuch defects arise.

• There is certification of proper commissioning (properly filled-inacceptance certificate).

• An annual examination and maintenance has been carried outby a specialised company licensed to do so.

The warranties set up by GEO-TEC shall only apply vis-à-vis con-tracted companies, and respective parties to a contract shall beunder obligation both to inform end users of this fact and, on re-quest, to confirm such in writing.

5. If, after unsuccessful subsequent performance, the customer wantsto withdraw from the contract due to a defect of title or material de-fect, it shall not be entitled to any claims for damages besides thisdue to the defect. If, after unsuccessful subsequent performance,the customer wants compensation for damages, the merchandiseshall remain with the customer if this can be reasonably expectedof it. The compensation for damages shall be limited to the differ-ence between the purchase price and the value of the defectivething. This shall not apply if we have fraudulently caused the breachof contract. For individuals in business, the warranty is one year asof delivery of the merchandise. This shall not apply if the customerdoes not notify us about the defect in good time.

Only the manufacturer’s product description is agreed as always defin-ing the qualities of the merchandise. No public statements, recom-mendations or advertising by the manufacturer (for the productand/or individual components of it) shall constitute any additionalcontractual specifications of the qualities of the merchandise. If a cus-tomer is given defective installation instructions, we shall only beunder obligation to deliver defect-free installation instructions, butonly if the defect in the installation instructions stands in the way ofproper installation. If a delivery of products made by us cannot bemade by the date agreed due to reasons for which we are not respon-sible, then parts already manufactured shall, at the Buyer’s expenseand risk, be set aside in storage space that is roofed over and guarded.In such case, the warranty shall begin when the merchandise is putinto storage. As payment for this storage of manufactured merchan-dise, we charge 1% of the total order amount for each month of stor-age begun. These storage costs shall be due and payable at the end ofeach month of storage. In cases of simple and slight negligence, dam-age claims against us shall be limited to the value of the contract. Theguarantees we make only apply vis-à-vis individuals in business. Incase of any transferral of the guarantee there might be, a consumershould be expressly informed about this.

10. Partial inoperativenessIn any individual clauses of these conditions should be or become in-operative, the remaining agreements shall nonetheless remain oper-ative.

11. Place of fulfilment and legal venueOnly the court for A-9800 Spittal/Drau shall be competent for all pres-ent and future claims arising from the business relations with mer-chants who has been entered as a merchant in the commercial register,including claims based on bills of exchange and cheques. It is under-stood that Austrian law shall apply. The same legal venue shall applyif: the Client does not have a general legal venue domestically; itmoves its residence or habitual residence abroad after concluding thecontract; or its residence or habitual residence abroad is not known atthe time an action is filed.

In 1995 TiNOX GmbH was the first company to introduce to the market the newly developed, highlyselective absorber coating for solar thermal collectors.This patented "blue" coating based on titanium and quartz set new performance standards and alsoprovided an initial environmentally friendly alternative to the black chrome and black nickel coatingsprimarily in use back then.The TiNOX® titanium absorber coating is vaporised onto metal tape in a physical vacuum depositing(PVD) method, which it developed itself. Using an electron beam, titanium and quartz are vaporisedin a vacuum chamber, which then react with nitrogen and oxygen to form TiNOX (titanium nitrideoxide) and precipitate on the metal tape.The TiNOX® titanium absorber layer is abrasion-proof and can be processed into full-surface absorberpanels and fins using all common joining methods (laser welding,plasma welding, ultrasound welding, soft soldering and reshaping).

Its unique coat structure makes TiNOX® a highly selective absorber that has the followingproperties:

Coating structureThe base material used is a metal substrate with good reflection and thermalconduction.

A thin titanium carbide compound is used as an adhesion layer and diffusionbarrier.

The absorber coating consists of a titanium compound with oxygen and nitro-gen. This patented titanium oxynitride compound gave TiNOX its name.

There is also an additional anti-reflex coating and protective coating made ofquartz glass on the absorber layer. This minimisation of the surface reflectionfurther optimises the absorption of solar radiation.

Nature and the EnvironmentThe components of the TiNOX coating are entirely safe for thehuman organism and the environment.

TiNOX absorber coating is 100% recyclable.

The metal in the absorber is entirely reusable.

Certified Performance and Long-term StabilityThe outstanding properties of TiNOX are confirmed by test certificates fromindependent testing institutes, which applies to the optical parameters of theabsorption coefficient α and emission coefficient ε as well as the temperature-resistance and climate stability.

Guarantee of the performance stability of TiNOX absorbers:

To test the performance stability of selective absorber coatings, a testingmethod was developed in co-operation with various renowned research institu-tes. The so-called "Task X" Test (ISO draft proposal CD 12 952.2) simulates theinfluences of temperature and the environment which affect the selective coa-tings over many years of operation for the collector. The Task X Test guaranteesat least 95% of the efficiency factor in new condition after a simulated periodof use of 25 years.
