How to work with CastNet and BlueCFD

1. Import case (e.g. tutorials C:\Program Files (x86)\CastNet\tutorials\CastNet2p4_OF2\1_SimpleBy loading the *.smf-File

2. Open the “General Models“ and Select the OpenFOAM-Version Windows BlueCFD

4 Apply and Close

- Mesh the Case (Meshing-Process Execute)- Export the Case from Mesh Interactor (OpenFOAM Fast Export)

Select your Working-Dir in BlueCFD environment

Start your BlueCFD Windows Console

Go to your exported directory

Files are there but no case structure

Execute „sh foam_pre.sh“ to generate case_structure

Note: All scripts calls (sh foam_pre.sh, sh foam_solve…)Will be replaced by a GUI very soon.

Uses PotentialFoamTo initialize as defined in CastNet

Case structure is there

Tip: Open the scripts in a editor to see what happens

Execute sh foam_solve.sh to run the case

Control the residuals with „sh foam_plot.sh“

Run „sh foam_post.sh“ to prepare for paraview(reconstruct, yPlusRas…)
