It's a medieval castle and a collection of over 600 paintings, 300 antique furniture , and over 2000 antique items located in the beautiful area of the Langhe, famous for its wines (Barolo and Barbaresco) and the white truffle, northern Italy.

The castle is a very beautiful historical monument.The style of the castle is typical of medieval fortresses in Italy.The castle was built in the twelfth century by the Marquis Del Carretto, local feudal lord.The castle was remodeled in 1630 and again in 1731 by the Marquis Gian Giacomo FONTANA, Minister of Carlo Emanuele III, which give it its current appearance and name. preserved of all the north of Italy. ).A peculiarity: the exterior walls of the castle has an unusual color (in italy is called "salmon", a special pink ..) that makes this building unique.Inside the castle (which is elevated on three floors+ cellar), there are over 40 rooms full of antique objects and furniture.In all there are about 600 paintings, 300 fornitures and over other 2000 miscellaneous items, including some religious items (reliquaries), sculptures, clocks, tapestries, 15 wonderful safes (1500/1600), old clothes (1700), books (1800) , mus ica l ins t ruments , s i l verware , ch ina, candelabras .... In all there are about 3,000 pieces. There are about 600 paintings, many old (1500/1600) and of all sizes, from the painting to the small size of a wall.

.The ancient paintings (from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century) are about 300, the rest are of the nineteenth to the twentieth century.Among the antique paintings there may be some valuable paintings (Domenichino, Rubens .....) but we don't know if they are authentic or by school of the master, but surely they are antique.Between modern paintings there are many famous Italian names (Favretto, Galizio, Bianchi, Cassinari, A. Tosi, Barbano, Bazzi, Fields, Mancini ........).There are about 300 furniture, all very beautiful and ancient.The ancient furniture dating from the fifteenth century onwards.

There are chests, cabinets (small and large), tables, chairs, beds, all in perfect storage conditions.

My uncle is a very special person. He lives in the castle for 30 years. During these years he has accumulated these treasures. He is passionate about art and antiques.But he is also stingy .. and therefore he never spent money to make an inventory of the objects of art. So... the buyer can do an inventory/catalog and then if he wants he can sell anything and earn a lot. The buyer may find some paintings/objects of great value that we doesn't know we have.....

Also, in september 2010, in the hall of the castle, there was the meeting of all public agencies involved in planning this event (in the presence of the Governor and representatives of the Piémont Region and all the mayors of nearby cities).the castle could became a great point of reference (for example, it could be converted into a museum of hazelnut)When the Langhe become a UNESCO site, there will be major repercussions on economic development and tourism (and therefore with rises in real estate, especially historical ones! and maybe access to concessional funding to renovate the buildings).
