Actor/Director Collaborations

Many film directors nowadays have been known for choosing actors in which they already know and have casted for other previous productions.

These collaborations have proven to be successful as directors feel they work better with actors they already know; this does not go for all directors, but most that do collaborate a lot with individual actors is because of its practicality.

They already know the actors’ abilities and their dynamics thus making directing them an easier job.

So, seeing as this is something relatively common in the industry I have also decided to cast actors I previous knew and/or worked with before.

I cast the actors who will play the group of friends in FieldTrip as I already knew them and their work.

One of the actresses, Katie Buxton, has also previously worked with me before much like the actor & director collaborations which I researched; thus making the casting choices much easier for me.

Although I already knew them, I still ran auditioning sessions just to be sure if they would fit the roles.

Below this presentation are the actresses’ audition process for the main roles which they went through before filming began.

Having successfully passed their auditions, the shooting could commence.
