So many people have made access to and enjoyment of the arts a reality for thousands of our young people. The talent that has emerged, the confidence and resilience they have developed through this experience will stand them in good stead all their lives.

“ When sitting with my choir I had to blink away the tears at each performance during “You’ll Never Walk Alone”. That was a beautiful arrangement of the song.
“ WOW! WOW! WOW! WHAT A SHOW. Congratulations! It was superb. Our students loved performing, the parents, student audience and staff were blown away. We certainly have some wonderful talent in our schools.
8
9
“ Just wanted to congratulate you all on such a fabulous show. It is amazing to think that these kids range in age from 10 to 17 or so, as the standard of the show was incredible. Thanks for all your time and hard work with our kids, and for giving them the opportunity to develop their passion and love of the arts.
10
11
“ It was the greatest experience of my life. Thank you for this amazing opportunity.
12
13
14
“ Congratulations and thanks to all who produced such a high quality performance this evening. We have come to expect a high standard from CaSPA and again tonight you did not disappoint. The Southern Cross Theatre for me is a dream come true. And you guys have brought it to life!
15
“ We knew our children loved to sing, dance, act and perform but you brought them together with their talents and created a story that entertained us and brought out the best in our kids.
16
“ To be involved in the absolute forefront of such a significant internationally acclaimed event was a great privilege. You can’t beat that.
17
“ To play for the Pope was a great experience.
18
19
20
“ The mentor program has had an enormous impact on our school. It has lifted the profile of the choir.
21
“ Involvement in CaSPA for me has been invaluable. It has allowed me to use and develop my creativity to colleagues and students. I have grown both professionally and spiritually through the many liturgies, performances and rehearsals that I have been involved with.
22
“ I just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU!!!!!!! The expertise and knowledge was FANTASTIC. The students appreciated it as did I.
23
24
“ Thank You SO much for this great experience in CaSPA! I really learnt a lot and I had the time of my life! I am so grateful that I got chosen so I could have a great professional experience with you all!! I am hoping to be back for the next auditions!!
“ CaSPA was the highlight of each week for me and every time I went to rehearsal I felt so good because I got to share music with all my friends and feel that I was a part of something great! I am so happy to have joined CaSPA and hope to work with CaSPA in the future.
25
26
27
“ Thank you to all for the brilliant work putting the show together. It was thoroughly entertaining and enjoyed by our family, big and small. I guess one exception...we wanted more! Thank you for the opportunity it gave our son to ‘shine’.
28
“ THANK YOU very much for a WONDERFUL and a FANTASTIC Showcase night. Please pass on to everyone involved how appreciative we are of all your hard work and dedication especially our children. We ALL had a GREAT time and we did not want the show to end. We are so very proud of all our children.
29
“ I’d just like to say a big thankyou to the CaSPA team for providing my daughter with the opportunity to continue to learn about our indigenous culture and to celebrate it with other students in a very special way. We are very grateful as a family and we are sure that other Indigenous students would all feel the same way.
“ This was an amazing and valuable experience, singing and conducting with professionals in the field. A highlight was the visits of the Ensemble students to the teacher workshops.
30
“ What a wonderful celebration of talent and great teachers. Thoroughly enjoyed the show! Thanks so much to all who participated
31
“ I must admit I was stunned and thrilled by the outstanding quality of the CaSPA Live performance. The entire CaSPA concept is one that I have admired for many years but to experience first-hand the magic and the beauty of our memory. My congratulations are extended to all involved in the production and especially to the teachers across our system of schools who give so generously of their time after hours to support our CaSPA students.
“ We were grateful that our daughter had the privilege of being part of this wonderful CaSPA production. She was so sad that it was over. She will definitely be auditioning again next year
32
“ It was fantastic to witness such a talented group of young people in a truly remarkable performance. It was so very impressive. Congratulations to all concerned in staging such a mammoth event. My daughter is so very lucky to have been a part of it. She made some wonderful friends, had such an enriching experience and most importantly had loads of fun doing something she absolutely loves. She can’t wait to do it all again! So we very much hope the CaSPA program continues to provide such a fantastic opportunity for our children to shine.
33
“ We were incredibly impressed with the versatility of the students and the depth of talent. It is wonderful for our young people to have such an opportunity not only to develop their talents with such a fabulous team but also to showcase them with a real audience in a quality venue.
“ I really marveled at the complex logistics involved in the CaSPA show. I think the kids were so lucky to get that incredible support and sophisticated production!
“ Your combined talents and dedication to each and every child involved in CaSPA is a credit to you all. We wanted to thank you for your patience and continued professionalism. As parents, we were very impressed that in such a short time the children presented their audience with such an inspiring, magical and truly professional musical performance. It was wonderful to see so many talented young people.
34
35
“ It was a wonderful experience & I’m sure something she will always remember from her school days. It is nice as her primary years draw to a close to end on such a positive note.
36
“ Thank you to all of you for your guidance and commitment to the students and to the performances. Our child was so excited last night and it was so good to see him with more confidence than I have ever seen him have before.
37
“ I learnt that you shouldn’t be embarrassed to go out and act. But the most important thing I learnt was to be yourself. My favourite thing was that we had the best teachers ever in the whole wide world!!! I hope I see them again in my life. Any school they go to will be lucky to have them. Before I could not do much but now I feel I can do nearly anything to do with acting or singing.
38
39
“ It was a magnificent performance! It reflects the dedication that you and the leaders of CaSPA have given to our children. The whole production was so professionally done!!! Keep up the good work.
40
“ The CaSPA LiVE show was a sensational event that enabled our young talented artists to truly showcase in an amazing and entertaining manner. I never cease to be amazed at the creativity of the CaSPA team that enables a diverse group of young performers to demonstrate the skills they have learnt in their respective disciplines in such an integrated and holistic way. I noted especially how some items were designed and choreographed to highlight, in a performance setting, a range of fundamental skills that are crucial for any young performer. The manner in which you create something so diversely different and interesting for each year group simply amazes me and is a credit to the creative ingenuity of the entire team. Could I thank you as always for your great professionalism and eye for detail.
“ Everything about CaSPA makes me happy just being around people that share the same passion as you is amazing.
41
“ Congratulations on an absolutely superb performance!!!!!!! It was simply magic. Move over Belvoir Theatre, Newtown Performing Arts, McDonald College...The place to be is CaSPA...
42
“ My happiest memory of CaSPA is meeting new friends and also singing which I love!! Thanks CaSPA you have been great and I have had the best experience of my life.
“ I loved the feeling after finishing a show and continuing to go on to the next one, the thrill is amazing!
43
“ Their performance was so polished and one could almost sense the pride they were feeling for both their rich culture and their school.
“ Even though I was the teacher, I was very inspired by all the kids, their enthusiasm and love of music and dance. I hope that the class continues in future, and it would be a pleasure to be involved with the kids again!
“ The girls were FABULOUS!!!!!!!. They were so excited and danced so very well. It was such a tremendous experience for them all and they are so keen to present for assembly next term in front of the whole school. Thank you so much for all your support and help.
44
“ CaSPA Sydney is a great educational and amazing experience for young talented students! It is where young performers are taught how to perform to the best of their ability and long term friendships are made... It is where Sydney Catholic schools can showcase their talents... CaSPA has brought together students with the same interests and taught us discipline, performance and how to work with different people...
“ I have been a dedicated supporter of CaSPA over years. I have found that not only has the CaSPA program offered me a range of skills and strategies that can be easily implemented in the classroom context but it has also allowed me to develop a relationship with the CaSPA consultants. The CaSPA team is very supportive and eager to assist, as I experienced recently, receiving support with my first performance put on with my Year Two class.
45
“ We would like to say thank you for the wonderful performance. The reflection on deep learning for children who have many obstacles to “climb” was interpreted beautifully. The Reading Recovery professionals from across Australia watched on in awe. They were most impressed with the performance and it was the talking point throughout the day.
“ I can’t begin to thank you enough for enabling us to show our talent like this. The moment I walked up on that stage, with all these new people and friends I’ve met and made, I wasn’t scared... I was being who I wanted to be. And I couldn’t have done it without you.

I was meeting today with the directors from all around NSW and every now and then directors get envious of what other dioceses are doing and if there’s one thing that every other diocese in NSW is jealous of is our CaSPA Program. I’m asked about it so often and it has just made such a real difference. I really congratulate Seamus as being the driving force for so many years, Jennie-lee and the hundreds of wonderful staff that have supported this…To me one of the real benchmarks of an outstanding school is what they do with the performing arts and I think one of the benchmarks of an outstanding system is what we’ve done with the performing arts over the last few years.
Dr Dan WhiteExecutive Director
Catholic Education Office
Our CaSPA team has contributed their wealth of knowledge, artistic input and experience to inspire and bring innovation to create a diverse performing arts program for the Sydney Archdiocese.
A huge thank you to all the students, teachers, principals, support staff, consultants and directors who have made such a significant contribution to the CaSPA program over the past 12 years and the numerous testimonials that have been very much appreciated. There have been too many shows, too many photos and so many amazing experiences to mention them all!
We look forward to continuing to grow and build the CaSPA program to provide high quality performing arts experiences for our schools.
“ I can’t begin to thank you enough for enabling us to show our talent like this. The moment I walked up on that stage, with all these new people and friends I’ve met and made, I wasn’t scared... I was being who I wanted to be. And I couldn’t have done it without you.
