Please read carefully the General Rules listed below. With the extreme number of race teams and fans that will be in attendance at this event we want to insure everyone has a safe and memorable weekend!

1. ABSOLUTELY NO DRINKING PERMITTED BY ANY COMPETITOR PRIOR TO

RACING. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT DRINKING, OR THOUGHT TO BE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS, YOU WILL FORFEIT ALL ENTRY FEES AND YOU WILL LEAVE THE PROPERTY. YOUR VEHICLE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO RUN WITH A SUBSTITUTE DRIVER, AND YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM RUNNING ANY FUTURE TEAM MOTORJAM EVENTS. 2. 1. Vehicles must have a 4 point harness 2. No tire modifications 3. Must use factory frame and suspension. Limited suspension modifications – Ladder bars &

performance shocks are legal. 4. Must have factory steel cab with windshield or lexan, firewall and floor pan. Fiberglass front

clip ok.

5. Open top vehicles must have minimum 6 point roll cage and arm restraints. No exceptions!!!!!!! 6. You may have dash modification, but must run 6 point cage 7. Body must maintain factory exterior panels with the exception of the tailgate. 8. Engine must remain in factory position

No dual carbs. No fuel injections or turbos – factory only. No blowers, No alcohol, gas only. 9. Drive shaft loops are mandatory on all drive shafts 10. Aftermarket ignition is allowed. Aftermarket heads are also allowed. Must have factory engine

block 11. Must have fire extinguisher 12. Must follow general rules 13. No riders in any vehicle while in competition 14. Clean Trucks prior to race, exception: only on back to back races. No loose objects in vehicle

such as spare tire or toolbox etc. 15. Hookup: Swinging chains are not legal; you must have a 3” eye on front and rear to hook to. If

there is not a sufficient hook up you will be asked to hook it up yourself. The next event you may be disqualified.

16. Kill switch for class 3 and up must be in arms reach of driver while belted in vehicle. 17. Cubic inch limit is 500ci.

This class is for highly modified stock appearing four wheel drive race vehicles. Competition chassis, race

bodies and high performance race engines allowed.

BODY

Protesting – If racer protests cubic inch limit and pump is available, the protester must place a $300 protest

fee. If truck passes test, the protest fee will be given to the protested truck. If truck fails the fee will be given

back to the protester and truck will be DQ’d with no refund. If a protested truck refuses to be pumped, the truck

cannot run, and entry fee will be forfeited.

*THE PROTEST MUST BE MADE PRIOR TO, OR AFTER TRUCKS HAVE RUN ON FRIDAY NIGHT.

1) Any style jeep or truck body allowed - must be recognizable. Fenders and roof must be retained if originally equipped. No narrowing of the body from the back of cab (Driver Compartment) forward. Narrowing or bobbing of rear quarter panels allowed for tire clearance. Rear quarter panels must extend a minimum of 12" behind the cab if not narrowed, if narrowed must extend to the end of the frame.

2) Body must extend to and cover all front engine components 3) A firewall and floorpan must be present protecting driver from engine and driveline components. Minimum of 16 ga. Steel or .060 (.120 recommended) aluminium required. The firewall will extend from door to door and from the floor pan to the base of the windshield. The floor pan will extend from door to door and front of the cab or tub to to rear of the cab or tub. (NOTE the floor pan and firewall shall be securely attached to each other and to the frame work of the chassis). 4) Center seat acceptable, must be located no more then 84" from the center of the front axle to the bottom of the seat back. 5) Windshield not required.

DRIVETRAIN

1) The main frame of the chassis must be constructed of minimum 2 X 3 steel or OEM frame from front to rear.

Round tube can be used for additional bracing.

2014 GREAT TEXAS MUD RACE BOG CLASSES RULES & PURSE

General Rules: ARK LA TEX PRO MUD RACING RULES 2014

*Please note any highlighted additions to the Ark La Tex General Rules apply at Team

Motorjam events only, thanks.

***Any driver caught driving in an erratic manor between the race track and his pit area

will be disqualified on site and asked to leave the event. There will be no warnings on this.

Please keep it at idle speed between track and pit area at all times, keep it professional.

***Any driver observed drinking an alcoholic beverage prior to racing, will be disqualified

and asked to leave the event. There will be no substitute driver.

***Any driver needing to make a ‘test pass,’ whether it be on the track or out in the field,

you must have a track official supervising.

Drivers must be prompt to starting line, with seatbelts and helmet on.

Driver gets a restart if vehicle has failure within first 30 feet, driver must back out of pit

and restart within 5 minutes. Truck shall not leave start line. If truck does not restart within

5 min. the truck shall be disqualified.

. *PASSENGERS ONLY ALLOWED WITH PRE APPROVAL. WE HAVE A VERY

FEW CASES WHERE CARS ARE FULLY SET UP WITH ALL SAFETY FEATURES

THAT THE DRIVER HAS ALSO INSTALLED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IN AN

EFFORT OF TRAINING A NOVICE DRIVER. ** THERE WILL IN NO WAY BE

ANY ‘JOY RIDING’ TYPE RIDE ALONGS, PERIOD.

Must have a pull point on front and back of vehicle.

All exhaust must be turned away from the spectators.

No NOS or alcohol hats unless competing in the DOT Unlimited, Outlaw, or Tractor

Tire class.

If timers fail and a no time is given, driver has option to cool down (no more than 15

General Safety Rules: Please read for safety rules that apply to your class.

Must wear Snell 95 approved or DOT approved helmet in all classes.

Must have 5 point harnesses for (classes 2 - 7) and 2 point seat belts for all other

classes.

All classes must have charged fire extinguisher with gauge within drivers reach. Except

class 1.

Must wear single layer fire suit, shoes, gloves and neck brace for classes 2 – outlaw.

Double layer suit highly recommended.

Must have kill switch at rear of truck, and in drivers reach classes 2-7. Must kill all

power.

Radiators, fuel systems and batteries must be properly secured and completely shielded

from drivers in all classes

Must have window nets installed on side windows if windows not installed, for all

classes that apply.

Driver's body must remain inside the cab or drivers compartment, for all classes that

apply.

Must wear helmet shield or eye protection if front windshield not installed, for all

classes that apply.

All debris shall be removed from truck cab and bed prior to tech.

All wheel studs and lug nuts to be installed on truck prior to tech.

Throttle linkage must have dual return springs and be free of obstructions. All classes.

This class is intended for trucks and Jeeps that are primarily street driven, have minimal

modifications and are street legal. Engine, frame and body must be of same make.

ENGINE:

No race fuel or alcohol.

Any OEM factory produced engine.

Must have mufflers.

No injection, blower, turbo, or superchargers (unless OEM stock)

No sheet metal or tunnel ram intakes.

No multiple carburetors.

OEM blocks/heads/injection only.

Fuel injection motors only on year models that are factory equipped.

Must pull 15” vacuum @ 1000 RPM’S @ carburetor (Exception Diesel’s)

Must have all windows.

DRIVETRAIN:

No 3 link, 4 link, sliders / floaters or coil-over’s (unless OEM stock)

No trans brakes.

OEM Full body, frame, and suspension matching, Aftermarket suspension lifts ok.

Carbureted Alcohol allowed. NO NOS (ALSO IN GENERAL RULES ABOVE)

vehicles can be gutted, and must utilize a factory frame in their chassis. Any engine, frame

or body combinations allowed.

Engine:

632 Cubic Inch Limit

No Fuel Injection, Blowers, Turbos, Supercharger, unless OEM Equipped.

No aluminum block or unconventional heads. (Only in factory OEM setups)

No Tunnel Rams or No multiple carburetors.

Carbureted Alcohol allowed. No NOS.

DRIVETRAIN:

Engine must be located forward of the driver and surrounded by body panels.

Engine must be within 12” from center-line of front axle to the #1 side face of head.

OEM frame only (no tube or home-made frames) frames may be cut and replaced, but

retain factory appearance inside the wheelbase. No lightening or severe notching. Must

retain 3 OEM width cross members.

Any transfer case or chain drive allowed. Open chain drives must be shielded 360

degrees. Minimum .125 mild steel or equivalent.

Transmission blanket and flywheel shield required unless SFI approved transmission

case.

aluminum, but no fiberglass.

The center of the front axle shall be inside the front wheel well opening.

Radiators must be completely shielded from driver.

Body/Frame swaps allowed, must match wheelbase.

Seat must be no more than 84” from center front axle to bottom of seat back.

Class # 5 Outlaw Pro Stock (0-54 Cut or Uncut DOT Tire)

This class is for highly modified four wheel drive race vehicles. Competition chassis, race

bodies and high performance nitrous race engines allowed.

ENGINE:

Any engine, head combination.

No Blowers, Turbos, Superchargers.

Mechanical Injection and Nos allowed.

DRIVETRAIN:

Engine must be located forward of the driver and surrounded by body panels. Hood is

not required.

Any factory frame allowed. 2"x3" frame rails allowed. Must be .120 wall mild steel or

equivalent.

Transmission blanket and flywheel shield required unless SFI approved case.

Min 6pt. roll cage, 1.5 inch .120 wall mild steel or equivalent. Must tie to frame.

Must have u-joint shields, and driveshaft loops. Minimum 1 loop per shaft located on

the most forward half of each drive shaft.

Must have 4 working brakes at the wheels.

BODY:

Must have factory appearing body

Radiators but must be completely shielded from the driver.

This class is intended for highly modified 4 wheel drive vehicles allowing tube chassis, any

engine location, aluminum engine blocks, blowers, turbos or super chargers. These vehicles

need not resemble any factory produced vehicle.

Min 6pt. roll cage, 1.5 inch .120 wall mild steel or equivalent. Must tie to frame.

Any tire allowed.

Must have u-joint shields, and driveshaft loops. Minimum 1 loop per shaft located on

the most forward half of each drive shaft.

Must have all 4 working brakes at the wheels.

Transmission blanket and flywheel shield required unless SFI approved transmission

BODY: Any style

Must have 48” or taller tractor tires.

Min. 4pt roll cage. 120 wall mild steel or equivalent.
