BackgroundThe Austrian men’s outtters Don Gil was ounded in 1971. Fashion-

and brand-conscious men can buy top-quality business attire and classy

leisure outts in twenty branches across Austria.

The challengeDriven by the desire to provide an all-round shopping experience and

excellent service to its customers, Don Gil decided to redesign its

fagship store at Kärntnerstraße 14, Vienna.

Every shade, every nuance, as well as the very diverse range o abrics

used in the garments and the accessories had to be displayed to

perection. However, the company rmly believes that shopping at

Don Gil should be more than just a purchase – it should be an event.

Lighting has a substantial role to play in this, by helping to create a

pleasant shopping atmosphere and making customers eel good.

The solutionWhen redesigning the shop at Kärntnerstraße 14, Don Gil opted not

 just or a new merchandise display concept and a new visual design,

but also or a totally new lighting design – one based entirely on

UnicOne projectors.

With their simple, geometric orm and visually appealing details,

UnicOne luminaires oer modern design and s leek elegance.

They have been designed especially or use with high-eciency and

compact C-HID lamps and halogen lamps. Because they are so fexible

in terms o positioning, these projectors tted perectly into the

existing lighting channels.
