The existing surface mounted

expansion joint was causing

issues to the car park below

allowing water passing through

and damaging the structure

below. Vision SC proposed

removal of existing expansion

joint, formation of a new recess

complete with a watertight

membrane and robust JNA52

expansion joint. Elastomeric

nosing’s were installed then

covered with new waterproof

coatings.

Application The existing joint was broken out and a new recess was formed. The recess was lined with our uniflex waterproof membrane. The joint was installed with resin anchors and an elastomeric nosing material to ensure longevity. An anti-slip waterproof coating was installed over the finished areas.

Summary The National Farmers Union (NFU) & Everclad Ltd benefited from Vision Specialist Contracting’s experience as their previous expansion joint was not fit for purpose and needed to be resolved. Their new correctly specified & installed expansion joint will allow movement and Watertight service for years to come.
