ColinOrmerod,CentralServicesManageratChingfordsaid“wehavebeenonthelookoutforcredibleefficiencysolutionsforourrefrigerationandairconditioningplantforsometime.WecameacrossSolXEnergyLtd.lastyear,anditreallycapturedourinterest.AlthoughIhavetosay,itdidtakesometimetoconvinceourrefrigerationcontractors,howevertheyarenowfullyonboardhavinghadfirst-handexperienceoftheproductandtheinstallationprocess,tothepointwheretheyhaveactuallypresentedSolXEnergytoanumberoftheirotherclients”.
Althoughthedataloggershowsareductioninenergyconsumptionofc.92,500kWhovertheevaluationperiod.ColinOrmerodalsoconfirmedthatproductionintheplantwasactuallymuchhigherthanthepreviousyearincomparison,andthereforethetruesavingismorelikelywellinexcessof100,000kWh.

ThermX is an innovative, green technology designed to harvest the free energy from the sun, thus creating thermal energy to increase the efficiency of the refrigeration process, in this particular case by c. 27%.

ThermX™canberetro-fittedontomostwell-knownHVACandRefrigerationsystemsofallsizes,withtheprovisothatthesystemhasvariableloadability-inverter,staged,screw-type,anddigitalscrollforexample.Instandardcoolingunits,thecompressorhastomanagethefullcompressionload,howeveratthetimeitismostneeded(i.e.whenthesunisout),theThermXsystemtakesoveralevelofthecapacity,allowingthecompressortoreduceitsworkload,significantlyreducingtheamountofelectricityconsumedbytheentiresystem.Subsequently,thewholesystemhasamucheasierlifeandisthereforelesspronetomaintenanceissues.
