11 Site survey team days

Visual Database delivered 1 week after leaving site.

PDMS roof model 5 weeks to produce.

2500 surveyed targets / 1050 photopairs

Effective dose (Eext) 0.09 msv

Sellafield Buildings - Roof and Exterior Survey

PDMS model has been used for spatial planning of major new surrounding structures, including crane operations.

11 Site survey team days

Visual Database delivered 1 week after leaving site.

PDMS model 6 weeks to produce.

2000 surveyed targets / 1414 photopairs

Sellafield Buildings - Inlet/ Future Export Facility

PDMS model contains tagged pipe lines down to ¾” NB.

3D Model was used in the design of new cable tray routing and multiple new piping systems, installed clash free, using tie in points from within the model.

10 survey team weeks

Visual Database delivered on a rolling basis

5014 surveyed targets / 3450 photopairs

Sellafield Buildings - Decommissioning

PDMS model contains tagged pipe lines down to ¾” NB.

Several high radiological dose areas captured efficiently

Building volume captured using photogrammetry is approx 200x40x25m, comprising of around 26 areas. The 3D as built model has been integrated with other data by BNG, including underwater survey data and existing concrete detailing data.

This combined model provides the start point for all re-commissioning design work required prior to final decommissioning.

Visual Database delivered within 1 week

1200 surveyed targets / 963 photopairs

Sellafield Building - Decommissioning

Further existing 3D PDMS models superimposed upon photographs to check accuracy and completeness

Concrete casting deformations also modelled in PDMS

Extensive design work of new interfacing structures and spatial planning has been undertaken using this as-built model.
