More Fish. More Releases.Sailfish. Marlin. Our fleet averages more than 15 releases per boat, per day. But we’ve seen as many as 124 releases in a day from a single boat. Casa Vieja Lodge anglers have released 57 sailfish on fly (a single day world record!) and 300 sailfish in 3 days of fishing on the same gameboat. There’s no other area on Earth with this many big fish, and no other lodge that can find them the way we can.
Casa Vieja Lodge is an Official Tag and Release sponsor of The Billfish Foundation as well as a partner of The Central American Billfish Association. When the billfish we tag and release are re-caught, data is returned to TBF. CABA, with the help of our anglers, launch satellite tags which provide immediate data to scientists at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. We are all working together on responsible conservation practices to ensure the continued health and productivity on our Pacific coast.
