Coil Heaters
hotspring Coil Heaters
hotset was already in 1980 one idea
ahead as they presented the first roundhotspringcoil heater (type WRP 3.3).
Since then further innovations have been
made: hotspring/Mini (type WRP 1,3 x
2,3), flat and square, hotspring/Maxi
(type WRP 4,8 x 8,6) as well as hotspring/
Micro (type WRP 1,3 x 2,3).
This innovation as well as the humidity-
resistant coil heaters according to I.P.
65 (type WRP 3.3 - WRP/F 2.2 x 4.2
- WRP/Q 3.0 x 3.0) emphasize the conse-
quente alignment to new challenges
hotspring with reflection tube
When using hotspring coil heaters with a
reflection tube the maximum surface load
increases. Furthermore the reflection tubeprotects the heater from mechanical dam-
ages. The reflection tube can be delivered
for a lot of hotspring dimensions. Ad-
ditionally it is possible to carry out a con-
trolled temperature measurement with a
coiled-in or integrated thermocouple.
hotspring lock-system
The low wall thickness of the clamp of only
1.5 mm, the fixation by easy sliding on the
nozzle as well as the front installation and
removal are essential arguments which
save money by this simplified handling.
Furthermore the hotspring - lock-system
guarantees optimal thermal features of the
fixed heating element (hotspring - type
WRP/Mini).
The principle of the hotspring - lock-system is based on two conical turning
parts, which telescoped result in tension
over the whole heating element. The fixa-
tion of the hotspring - lock-system is ef-
fected by axial moving of the outer tube
where an anti-twist protection (cut-out)
serves as installation aid.
Application examples
Mass channel Technology - Heating of manifolds
Packaging Industry - Heating of welding bars
Mass channel Technology - Heating of mass channel nozzles
Packaging Industry - Heating of sealed heads
hotset presents a wide product spectrum of hotspringcoil heaters:
Starting with hotspring/Micro (type WRP/F 1,0 x 1,6) up to hotspring/Maxi (type WRP 4,8 x 8,6) with different lenghts and
diameters.
Brass-coil heaters or coil heaters with clamping mechanism as heating elements for different applications.
Heating systems such as the hotcast sealed heater (type GMH) or the hotcone heated nozzle (type BMD).
Special products such as hotslot and hotslight.
As well as a wide spectrum of applications.
hotspring spike-system
The system of the hotspring spike-sys-
tem offers a lot of innovative advantagesfor the user: the low wall thickness of the
draw tube of only 1 mm, the fixing on the
nozzle by easy sliding and turning, as well
as the front installation and removal are
essential arguments, which save costs
and time by this simplified handling. Fur-
thermore the hotspring spike-system
guarantees optimal thermal features of the
fixed hotspring -coil heater (type WRP).
The principle of the hotspring spike-
system consists of a divided reflection
tube which can be adjusted to the tool to
be heated along to total length by easytwisting against each other. An optimal
heat transition is guaranteed by an ideal
adjustment to the tool. The special clamp-
ing mechanism bridges diameter toler-
ances of tools from several 1/10 mm and
thus guarantees a tight fit which avoids
additional fixation measures.

hotslot Nozzle Heaters
Even for nozzle heating, hotset offers spe-
cific heating elements for each applica-tion.
hotslot
With hotslot, which is based on the
proven principle of hotspring coil heat-
ers, hotset offers an excellent heating
solution for nozzles. The hotspring/Mini
(wall thickness of a minimum of 2 mm ac-
cording to type) or Micro (wall thickness of
a minimum of 1.3 mm according to type) is
pressed in a slot thus the hotslot is es-
pecially space-saving. The run of the slot
with or without thermocouple as well asthe power distribution can be individually
determined.

Flexible Tubular Heater
hotflex Flexible Tubular Heaters
The hotflex is worldwide the first tubu-
lar heater which can be manually bent inall three dimensions. Easiest handling,
simple assembly, optimal thermal features
and the simple storage (the hotflex is
supplied in straight condition with numer-
ous lengths from stock) are outstanding
product arguments.
Towards the traditional heating (e. g. with
hotrod cartridge heaters type HHP) the
three dimensional bending of the hotflex
makes high flexibility possible for engi-
neers.
With applications such as outline heat-
ing a better heat transition, considerable
savings of the tool mass, replacements as
well as lower energy consumption can be
achieved.
And thus also in round ( 6,5 mm and 8,5
mm) as well as in square shape (6 x 6 mm
and 8 x 8 mm).
