For this project, the client is in the process of starting an
Organic Grocer and Deli shop. The grocer will sell dry goods,
refrigerated products, fresh produce, bulk items, canned
good, and cleaning products. A wide selection of organic
and gluten-free products will help this grocer shine in the
local market.
ORGANIC GROCER & DELI
After investigating various types of specialized mini
grocer/deli style businesses, I believe this design, which
includes an organic, gluten free bakery would set Dough Re
Mi apart from the competition and attract our target
audience: local shoppers interested in organic and gluten-free products.
CONCEPT
Wood beam shelves travel up the wall and curve when
reach ceiling to join the exposed beams
Dropped soffits repeat the curve of the shelves and act as
a wayfinding tool for the bakery and checkouts
Inspired by a music staff, the painted black stripes on the wall mimics the wood shelving
Ovens located in storage
Counters meet ADA requirement

RU Senior Showcase 2nd Place Corporate Office
The conceptual intention is to design the office
space using lines from mathematical symbols and
geometric forms, emphasizing JJW’s love for what
they do while adding relevant visual stimuli. The
addition symbol is repeated throughout the
design with furniture pieces, dropped down
ceilings, and furniture arrangements. Bar graph
motifs and triangles are also integrated
throughout the space to reinforce the geometric
concept.
THE PROJECT DESIGN CONCEPT
JJW is a small accounting firm that is in the process
of relocating their office from Las Vegas, Nevada
to an existing thirty story commercial high-rise,
single occupancy office building in Los Angeles,
California. The design of the new office space will
be located on the fourteenth floor utilizing 4,151
square feet.

With this layout it is possible to include three collaborative spaces conveniently located by the
staff team’s area and the workroom. All the spaces were planned according to their primary
adjacencies to permit a sensible circulation. With sustainability in mind, the spaces that will be
more frequently occupied were designed to revolve around the building’s curtain wall; this allows
more natural light to enter the office space, lessening the need for electrical lighting.

Cretum Cancer Center is an
infusion treatment center for
gynecological cancers. This serene
and rejuvenating cancer center
features an interesting color
palette of gradated blues and
warm yellows.
The gradated color scheme is meant to embody the phrase
“progress through process” and
the interlocked relationship
between the staff, patients, and
family members visually along with
the circular flow pattern in the
facility.
Biophilia is used heavily throughout
Cretum to create a healing
environment and develop a strong
connection with nature. The large
central courtyard, and substantial
use of full height windows in the
reception, treatment, and
surrounding the courtyard
strengthen that connection.
