Designers often opt for the insouciance of jeans and a T-shirt, looking rumpled and relieved as they dash out for a post-show wave, but not Herrera: For 20 minutes you marvel at the pol- ished luxe and clever seaming inherent in any of her pieces, and then she emerges from backstage, crisp and confident and flawless.
