Objectives of Rules of Civil Procedure:

To secure the just, most expeditious and least expensive determination of every civil procedure on its merits. (Rule 1.04 (1))

To ensure that procedures are proportionate to the importance and complexity of the issues and to the amount involved. (Rule 1.04 (1.1))
