Engage only HDB registered renovation contractors to carry out the renovation as they are familiar with the HDB guidelines and requirements.

Before engaging a contractor, consider if you are agreeable to the:

Quotation and pricingScope of worksTimeline for completing the works

Your appointed contractor is responsible for fulfilling your renovation contract, including the quality of their works.

The contractor must adhere to HDB’s renovation guidelines, and obtain HDB’s prior written approval before demolishing/hacking any walls.

Stay safe! Unauthorised renovations could endanger you, your family and neighbours. Ensure the necessary approvals are obtained before renovating your flat e.g. demolition of walls.

Get the Right Contractor

Do NOT flush or wash debris into the gully and toilet bowls. This can choke and damage the sanitary network.

Misuse of lifts leads to breakdowns, damage and inconvenience to you and your neighbours. Lift breakdowns will greatly affect residents, especially the elderly and those who have restricted mobility.

Do assist by reminding your contractors and furniture delivery crew to use the lifts properly, be considerate to other users and keep the lifts clean and free of debris.

Do NOT jam the lift doors as this could damage the lifts.
