A Guide to Care at HomeHome care is a concept gaining increasing popularity with older adults and family caregivers. Home care agencies and case management services are viable ways to help care for older adults in the comfort of their home.
HOME CARE AGENCIESHome care agencies typically provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, toileting, and transferring. They can also assist with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) such as meal preparation, shopping, transportation, housecleaning, laundry, and medication management. These services are not covered by Medicare or private insurance. Long Term Care insurance may pay for these services.
