Students can complete an assessment and write a paperHow their results on the Strengths Finder relate to leadership and their leadership style. How their Myers Briggs Type relates to how they work in groups

Career PresentationStudents can complete an assessment and a Career Advisor will come in and facilitate a workshop or discussion on the results and how they apply to careers

Online Career ModulesStudents can be receive credit as part of their grade for watching E-Learning Career Modules

Resume Writing & Mock InterviewsHave students take part in a taped mock interview or get a resume review in getting ready to apply for internships

Networking PresentationInvite a Career Advisor to give a presentation on how to network and conduct informational interviews during their internships


Module 4: Implement Your Plan

Resume WritingHave students search for jobs on the Career Services website and write a resume and cover letter for that job

Networking NightCollaborate with our department to run a networking event where students wear business clothing and meet with employers and alumni

Employer PresentationsInvite local employers to give class presentations or set up a panel presentation

Resume CritiquesInvite employers to meet with students to discuss their resumes and give a mock interview

Personal Essays or Mission/Vision StatementsHave students write personal essays they can use for applying to graduate programs or mission statements with objectives to follow their personal mission and vision for the future
