Experience: I have Obtained 12 years’ experience in Logistics and material management,
Supply Chain Management (PSCM) in the Middle East (UAE, Bahrain, Iraq, and Afghanistan)
and have experience working in sites camps bases and locations in hostile and aggressive
environments. I also held the job role of Business Development Manager in Bahrain so I am
very familiar with contract assessment evaluation and close out process, budget control,
bidding assessment process, analysis of economic developments and competitive rates in
the market.

the subject Job description in my previous role as PSCM Logistics Coordinator for BP Iraq
1. The complete process of Procuring, Transportation and safe & secure Storage of
heavy oil field equipment such as (X –tress, pipes , Electric Hydraulic Power Unit ,
Coiled Tubing Units, Casing & Tubing, land rigs, offshore rigs, drilling equipment,
production equipment, seamless tubing and piping ect)from port and airport to site
then back to storage areas and warehouses.
2. Drafting and preparing contracts with vendors and suppliers for services and
products rendered as per project requirements; research on ECP s
(vendor/supplier) capabilities and service capacities, make initial service
assessments; short list them in the approved vendor list after trial runs and
establish long term relationships and fixed contract rates with the contractors and
service providers for future project consideration as well as have transparent
communications and prior agreements for returning back the same equipment

which was hired on rent basis back to its origin company in a timely manner to
ensure costs are reduced and extra billing from vendor is avoided and within budget.
3. Acquiring contracts for procuring and transportation of vehicles from UAE, UK and
USA (buses for staff movements inside the camp, ambulances for site medical team,
security vehicles for port and airport transportation, heavy equipment transportation
vehicles trucks trailers & cranes and fire trucks for camp safety and security
department- please see attached images below) customs clearing the same from
port and airport ensuring all documentation is obtained from the relevant local
authorities and ministries prior making effective delivery to site/camp.
4. Fortifying contracts with suppliers and third parties for procuring & moving camps,
port cabins and trailers to different work sites & installing them with contractors as
per agreed the contract and returning them back once the work is finished to their
previous locations till new work site / location is authorized by Project manager and
overseen the SCM department till new installation is authorized.
5. Plan coordinate supervise and implement shipping & transportation operations,
material loading offloading at docks and distribution throughout all departments
and locations in the oil felids as per the company HSE and safety policy. (Drilling
department, projects, special projects, wells, and warehouses- please see pictures
below for offloading mechanisms and safety procedures)
6. Manage facilities equipment and vehicles positioning, operations maintenance and
safety while complying with the company HSE policy. Ensure all cranes trucks trailers
go through timely maintenance and spare parts for the same are available at site.
7. Follow up on service requirements such as permits formalities vehicle registrations
insurance accident reports and proper inspection reports are submitted with the
company Facilities maintenance management team and department and keep all
parties updated and notified of any issues and produce monthly report to
management.
8. Plan coordinate supervise & implement all shipping trucking transportation and
material handling operations run smoothly in according to the site work schedule
and prioritize jobs as per the site requirements to ensure set targets and
productivity is achieved
9. Provide all departments with required logistical staff support and services that
include labours, warehouse men, assistants, and carne and fork lift operators
contracted staff and maintain the staff’s rotations and vigorous safety training and

ensure they adhere to all company policies as well as ensure all staff are in PPE gear
at all times in the work site / camp and follow company safety regulations.
10. I have written and successfully implemented SOP s across various departments to
improve and meet company KPI s when dealing with vendors and clients and to
improve operational capabilities, to supervise and oversee operations crews and
labours on site to prevent accidents and security incidents, have also successfully
implemented and managed trucking haul operations to improve efficiencies and to
meet multi model transportation project via sea air and by road.
11. Prepare contract agreements, PO s and implement the RFP RFQ and bidding process
with multiple suppliers, vendors, contractors and subcontractors to ensure vital
products and services are procured in a cost effective and timely manner and ensure
productivity & target objectives are met.
12. Take inventory stock control, manage and forecast stock, ensure end-user demands
are met when required, keep all records and documentation of all purchase orders
and follow up with the accounts departments on supplier and contractors payments
and part payments as per the agreed payment terms in the contract to ensure no
disruption of services or products and regularly review contractors performance.
13. Ensure when awarding contracts all suppliers and contractors adhere to the
companies HSE policy safety regulations as well as external and international laws
such as ABC policies and clear lines are drawn on which party is responsible for
insurance pay outs and penalties in the event of a service disruption.
14. I was accountable for assisting and liaising with the project managers, Head of
Business support services and other key department heads & team leads on control
of all contract correspondence between contracts / subcontractors, vendors &
Suppliers. Responsible for contractual alterations, modifications and extensions or
contract renewals, indemnities, guarantees, weekly status / progress reports and
also for sitting in and carrying out weekly meetings and securing and keeping all
records of documentation required as per company regulations and policies as well
as customs and other ministries of the operating countries (host country) such as bill
of ladings, bill of entry, import / export licenses, work permits to work on sites and
locations, security clearance from local authorities.

15. I have written training manuals on Logistics and freight to train my staff &
contracting staff in house and trained them on HSE and safety awareness; I identify
and recommend internal & external training programs for subordinates to HR when
required. I have also successfully managed varying numbers of operations personnel
staff /teams who were assigned to me in my job functions in various departments
whom all belonged to many different nationalities /ethnic groups. I also have
experience working in a multicultural work environment and know how to motivate
my team members to obtain the maximum productivity across all job functions by
conducting quarterly performance evaluations & appraisals and recommending their
growth to higher management and HR for incentives, rewards and promotions
respectively. (All training manuals and my BP team’s management infrastructure

staff across 5 Sub- departments that fell under PSCM - Procurement Supply Chain
Management Department- Operations; Customs clearance; HSSE; Transportation
& Logistics and Warehouse, port, free zone and airport setup external )
16. I am computer literate and have experience in operating many in house applications
and software tailor made for the supply chain industry as well as supply chain
management industry tools such as SAP, MAXIMO, DHL tracking system, DANZAS
HAWB tracking systems, BP INTRAC logistics inventory systems, Airlines cargo
manifest & tracking systems and many more company business management
systems, on site operational systems as well as stock control management systems.

the logistics and Supply Chain Management industry and I have also held similar responsibilities and
performed the exact same job functions in my previous roles as PSCM Logistics coordinator for BP
Iraq and Freight operations manager for DHL Iraq as I have illustrated above in vivid detail.
I also have a very good understanding and key knowledge of Iraq as I have worked in 3 cities in the
