Technology & Logistics Program
Career Guidance Counselor Assistant (CGCA) Rate: $15.46/hr.
Students employed as Career Guidance Counselor Assistants must be enrolled in at least 12 upper division units, or 9 graduate units, in counseling or a related field at an accredited four-year college or university.
Typical Duties: Performs a variety of paraprofessional counseling duties such as answering routine questions at a walk-in counter, administering subjectively scored tests for determining aptitudes, interests, abilities and achievement, and peer counseling in a counseling office or as part of the counseling component of a specially-funded program.
Qualifications: Must meet enrollment requirement.
Enrollment: Must be enrolled as a full-time upper division or graduate student in counseling or a related field at an accredited four-year college or university. Student may not be on academic probation or progress probation.
Employment Limit: Five (5) years, unless evidence is provided which demonstrates the student is diligently pursuing the attainment of an academic degree.

Information Sessionso Explain the T&L Program to interested attendeeso Explain content and procedures of short-term Logistics courseso Explain the different certificates and certifications
Process intake forms for the Logistics Program Get to know people and collect information Get to know the applicant’s general information to direct to proper services on campus Find out what help applicants need Follow-up on participants
o Progresso Attendanceo Participation
Possess good “people skills” Used to working with diverse populations Maintain case management notes
