• CCN Game Day is Thursday, April 5. Join us for an afternoon of fun playing your favorite games. Bring a game and a snack to share with the group.

• The next educational seminar, “Safety Concerns for Seniors”, is Thursday, April 12 at 11:30am. Our presenter is Nayda Poblete, RN, BSN, CSA, CEO of A Heart for Seniors. We will learn about preventing age related hazards and accidents to help enable older adults to stay longer at home. Together we will discuss:

o Age related risks and what to do about them o How to prevent slips, trips and falls o What to do when you fall and what to do when you can’t get up from a fall o The correlation between medications and accidents o Basic safety equipment you may need around the house

Lunch will be served, but you must pre-register. There is no charge for the seminar or for lunch and all are welcome. Sign up by calling the CCN office at 714.962.9346.

• Fumi Liang and Carolyn Ross will represent CCN at the Lutheran Services in America Annual Conference May 1 - 3 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. The conference focuses on how health and human services professionals are defining the future and renewing and transforming their social ministries.
