Stampin’ Template - Interlocking Flap Gatefold A different way to make a gatefold that interlocks with flaps. Basic Interlocking Gatefold - Skinny Flap Hinge Version • 5 1/2" x 8 1/2” - card base (scored at 2 1/8” along long edge) • 1 7/8” x 5 1/4” - DSP, cut 2 for the card base • 2” x 4 1/4” - cardstock, cut 2 for Dlap hinges • 1 3/4” x 4” - DSP, cut 2 for Dlap hinges • 4” x 5 1/4” - Basic White cardstock for inside Basic Interlocking Gatefold - Chuncky Flap Hinge Version • 4 1/4" x 11” - card base (scored at 2 3/4” along long edge) • 2 1/2" x 4”, cut 2 - DSP, cut 2 for the card base • 1 3/4” x 5 1/4", cut 2- cardstock, cut 2 for Dlap hinges • 1 1/2" x 5”- DSP, cut 2 for Dlap hinges • 4” x 5 1/4” - Basic White cardstock for inside Directions for both Versions 1. Score card base along long edge at 2 1/8” (or 2 3/4” ) depending on which gatefold you are making - skinny or chunky . Fold on score line and crease well. Fold the other side in to meet the edge in the center. This creates both doors of the gatefold. 2. Attach the 1 7/8” x 5 1/4” ( or 2 1/2" x 4”) DSP to the doors. 3. Layer and adhere the 2” x 4 1/4” (or 1 3/4” x 5 1/4”) Dlap hinges and the 1 3/4” x 4” (or 1 1/2" x 5”) DSP for the Dlap hinges together. Lay these pieces on top of the card and Digure out where you want them to be attached. 4. Attach opposite sides of the two Dlap hinges to the card base. You will only need adhesive under half of each Dlap hinge so that it will open when the gatefold doors open. 5. Stamp inside greeting and attach the 4” x 5 1/4” Basic White on the inside of the card. 6. Decorate and embellish as desired.
