SYNC 2We’ve come a long way since the Model T and this is perhaps best exemplified in the revolutionary SYNC 2 infotainment system. In conjunction with your Bluetooth enabled phone, SYNC 2 allows you to use simple voice commands to make calls, have text messages read aloud, control the satellite navigation, set the cabin temperature and even change the music you’re listening too. Now that’s connectivity! Alternatively, you can use the high-resolution 8-inch colour touch screen to navigate your way through the extensive range of features on offer.

When the automobile was first produced at the beginning of the 20th century, it was a luxury item for the wealthy. The majority of models were complicated machines that would require a mechanically minded driver to operate. Not satisfied with the status quo, Henry Ford was determined to build a straight-forward and reliable car that the average American would be able to afford. It was this approach that birthed both the Model T and the assembly line – two innovations that would leave a lasting impact on the world as we know it today.

Fast-forward to now and Henry Ford’s commitment to making motoring easy remains alive across today’s product range. Whether it be the compact and convenient Fiesta right through to the powerful performance of the Mustang, Ford have ensured the perfect vehicle is available – regardless of the task at hand. Underpinning the accessibility and affordability of the Ford Motor Company in New Zealand are a number of key innovations:

FORDGO FURTHER

Going further in our community You probably know that Ford is a major sponsor of the All Blacks. What you might not know is that when an All Black gets their cap and jersey, they also get a key to their own Ford – a tradition that goes back over two decades. Our men in black love their Fords and Ford is proud to be the driving force behind the best team in the world.

Ford has also been the vehicle supplier to New Zealand Cricket since 2009. Meanwhile in 2014, the relationship with NZC went even further by becoming an official team sponsor and sees the Ford Blue Oval featured on the playing kits of the Black Caps, White Ferns and other representative teams. Ford is delighted to support New Zealand’s most popular summer sport, particularly as the relationship helps create opportunities for cricketers at all levels right throughout the country.

2016 also marked Ford New Zealand’s 26th anniversary supporting Variety – The Children’s Charity. Ford is proud of its strong relationship with Variety, providing sponsorship and being actively involved with fundraising activities including the always-exciting 'Variety Bash'. This is a quirky car rally which travels hundreds of kilometres during one week in March each year fundraising for Kiwi kids, distributing grants, entertaining children and telling the Variety story. It's a mad-cap adventure full of eccentric vehicles, larger-than-life characters and heart-felt philanthropy.

"HENRY FORD WAS DETERMINED TO BUILD A STRAIGHT-FORWARD AND RELIABLE CAR THAT THE AVERAGE AMERICAN WOULD BE ABLE TO AFFORD".

The success of the EcoBoostTraditional petrol engine thinking is that size equals power. That’s why Ford’s EcoBoost engine technology has amazed the sceptics.

Combining three key technologies: direct fuel injection, turbocharging, and variable cam-timing, the small-sized EcoBoost delivers fantastic fuel economy without compromising power. For instance, the direct fuel injection delivers a highly precise and pressurised amount of fuel directly into the combustion chamber of each cylinder so that every drop of fuel is burnt. Additionally, the turbo charger allows for more highly compressed air into the engine to generate the power of a larger

engine without the fuel economy penalties. Working with the variable cam timing, the turbo charger is able to generate high torque at low RPM and maintains peak power over a wide range for more immediate and responsive power.

The success of the EcoBoost is best illustrated by it winning the International Engine of the Year Award three years in a row (2012, 2013, 2014) and its continued use throughout the Ford range. You’ll now experience the benefits of this innovative engine in the Fiesta, Fiesta ST, Focus, Focus RS, Focus ST, Kuga, Mondeo, and even the all-new Mustang!

MAZDA

"IF LIFE IS A JOURNEY, MAZDA UNDERSTANDS HOW TO MAKE THAT JOURNEY REWARDING AND EXCITING".

MX-5CX-3MAZDA 2 CX-5MAZDA 3 BT-50MAZDA 6 CX-9

Underpinning this are four pillars which every new generation Mazda is designed and built upon: SKYACTIV Technology, ‘KODO – Soul of Motion’ design, MZD Connect and i-ACTIVSENSE advanced safety technologies. These new-age technical, design, and safety philosophies have already elevated the performance of the current models and will carry through to future product.

While imagination drives everything that Mazda does, the feeling of Mazda vehicles is easily summed up as Zoom-Zoom. It describes how the Mazda you drive makes you feel. It’s not just about where you travel, but how it feels getting there.

When you drive a great car, you feel a connection. The way it moves thrills you. The way it looks excites you. It’s hard to sum this feeling up in a couple of words, but Mazda says Zoom-Zoom. If life is a journey, Mazda understands how to make that journey rewarding and exciting.

SKYACTIV Technology – less fuel, less emissions, more Zoom-ZoomSKYACTIV is a comprehensive engineering programme shaping a new generation of vehicles striving for significant gains in fuel efficiency and emissions reduction. Developing the ideal automatic transmission saw Mazda focus on improved fuel economy, a direct pedal response and the ability to shift gears smoothly while delivering reactive acceleration. The SKYACTIV-Drive automatic does this and more. Meanwhile Mazda designers also went back to the drawing board to create a SKYACTIV-Chassis. They wanted a lighter, stronger car, but with extraordinary agility and nimble responsiveness. They achieved just that, ensuring the new generation of cars are fun to drive.

'KODO – Soul of Motion'The Japanese word Shinari describes the powerful yet supple force when objects of high tensile strength, such as steel or bamboo are twisted or bent. It also refers to the appearance of a person or animal tensing its body to generate movement. Within this, Mazda designers discovered the notion of ‘KODO – Soul of Motion’. It’s the form seen as the instant motion begins – for example when a cheetah pounces on its prey, or when a sword strikes in the ancient Japanese martial art of kendo. This philosophy will be incorporated into all Mazda designs to express a faster, more forceful movement and to include a more soulful element.

MZD ConnectMZD Connect is the next generation of in-vehicle connectivity. It provides an interface for on-board infotainment systems like satellite navigation whilst unlocking the use of smartphones and media players. The focus of MZD Connect is the seven-inch touchscreen on the top of the centre console; this is placed so that the driver can glance at it without taking their eyes off the road for too long.

i-ACTIVSENSEi-ACTIVSENSE is an umbrella term for a series of advanced safety technologies that make use of detection devices such as milliwave radars and cameras. They include clever systems that support

the driver in recognising potential hazards, and pre-crash safety technologies that help to avert collisions or reduce their severity in situations where they cannot be avoided. The following i-ACTIVSENSE technologies help to make Mazda driving safer, and therefore even more enjoyable: High Beam Control (HBC), Hill Launch Assist (HLA), Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Forward Obstruction Warning (FOW), Smart City Brake Support (SCBS), Smart Brake Support (SBS), Radar Cruise Control (RCC), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).

Each of these pillars combine to deliver us the exceptional experience we refer to today as ‘Zoom-Zoom’. The success of the brand in New Zealand can be illustrated by the Mazda 3 being presented with the prestigious New Zealand Car of the Year award in 2014. Meanwhile, Mazda became New Zealand’s most awarded car brand of 2015 with the CX-3 leading the way with 10 awards. These include Fairfax Car of the Year, NZ Herald Driven Car of the Year and the National Business Review’s Crossover Car of the Year.

At Capital City Motors, we make it easy to take home your next car. Whether you are a business or individual, we can provide you with a range of flexible finance options that are designed to make your purchase as easy and affordable as possible. With over 20 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry, our Business Manager, Wayne Wright is well placed to discuss your options and can tailor a unique package around your requirements. Driving home a new vehicle doesn’t have to be as expensive as you may think and our relationship with both UDC and Marac means we’ll take care of everything, allowing you more time behind the wheel of your new Ford or Mazda!

Consumer CreditA Credit Agreement is the traditional and most common form of vehicle financing. Credit Agreements can range from 6 to 60 months with deposit levels to suit. No deposit finance is very common and payments can be structured to suit with deferred payments of up to six months. Depending on budget and cash flow, balloon payments are also an option.

Finance LeaseOften referred to as 'lease to own', finance lease is a preferred method of financing for businesses and GST registered individuals. This allows purchasing the vehicle of your choice without diverting valuable working capital from your business. Lease terms can vary between 12 and 60 months and residual values and monthly rentals are negotiable.

Operating LeaseOperating Lease is a popular choice for corporates and businesses. At the end of the lease you simply return the vehicle and drive away in a new model. There is no residual liability (other than fair wear and tear) and monthly rentals are often 100% tax deductible. You can also have the option of a full maintenance package built into your monthly rental.

FINANCE INSURANCEMotor Vehicle InsuranceAccidents, loss and damage to motor vehicles does happen, even to the most careful of owners. As our principle partner, Provident Motor Vehicle Insurance offers comprehensive cover to ensure complete peace of mind as a new car buyer.

Mechanical Breakdown InsuranceBuying a new or used vehicle represents a major investment, so it’s wise to protect your vehicle against the sudden or unforeseen happening. The fact is, motor vehicles do unfortunately break down from time to time

and whilst you don’t expect it to happen to your vehicle, it’s reassuring to know that we have a policy to help protect you against the inconvenience and costs of repair. Through our relationship with Provident Insurance, we can provide cover for 1, 2 or 3 years and offer a range of terms and excess options designed to suit you and your vehicle.

Guaranteed Asset ProtectionWhen purchasing a new vehicle and committing yourself to loan repayments over an extended term, it’s wise to protect yourself against the unfortunate event of your vehicle being written-off. This policy covers you against the shortfall that can occur

between the amount outstanding on your finance contract and the insurance pay-out you receive.

Credit Contract Indemnity This covers you in the event of suffering financial loss as a result of being off work due to accident, illness, redundancy, suspension, business interruption, bankruptcy or hospitalisation. It also has a life-cover benefit to pay the outstanding balance of your credit contract in the event of death. With Provident Credit Contract Indemnity, you can relax knowing the money you borrow today can be repaid should the unexpected happen in the future.

To learn more about these options and how we can provide you with your own individual package, please phone or email Wayne on 04 803 0739 or [email protected].

Dura-Seal Paint, Fabric and Leather ProtectionPaint. Dura-Seal G3 Ceramic paint protector forms a durable scratch reducing finish which bonds permanently to your vehicle’s clear coat. This forms an invisible barrier between the paintwork and the elements, therefore protecting the vehicle against the harsh effects and damaged caused by acid rain, seat salt, bird droppings, tree sap and UV rays.

Fabric. Odour free, non-allergenic and child safe, you can now rest assured that the interior of your vehicle will be protected by the most current technology available; never again devalue your vehicle due to unsightly stains on your fabric and carpets.

Leather. Unfortunately accidents happen – often in the interior of your new car! However, the application of Dura-Seal leather protection prevents your leather from ageing prematurely, stops cracking and helps to retain suppleness. This ensures the leather is easier to clean and everyday spills cause minimal damage. Not only will this enhance the resale value of your vehicle, the protection is guaranteed for the lifetime of your ownership.

Understanding that today’s car buyers increasingly research their vehicles online, we recently relaunched our website, capitalcitymotors.co.nz. With a full-time photographer, and one of only a few dealerships in New Zealand with a fully operational photo-studio, our website provides our customers with up to 20 crystal-clear photographs of each vehicle in addition to a full list of their features, engine and fuel economy information. We care that you are as well-informed about our vehicles as possible which is why each one also contains a full video to ensure that every possible angle is explored. We know that choosing between vehicles can sometimes be a difficult decision, so to help we have included a ‘compare’ tool allowing you to directly compare and contrast similar cars with one another. You can also use the site to see which vehicles will soon be arriving at the dealership, learn more about our staff, view the latest finance offers, download brochures, watch the latest advertisements, book a test-drive, read news and reviews, and so much more.
