More on Adding People

• When you add people, they receive an invitation to join the group

• If you want to automatically add people (without giving them a choice) you may contact the Canvas team

• Please use this judiciously, one example is an academic cohort

• If you have a large number of people to add, you may send us a spreadsheet, and we can automatically add your participants to your course

• Our email is [email protected]

Assignments

• An assignment is anything that students are required to do

• Whether or not there is an online or paper submission

• Whether or not it’s graded

• While many organizations won’t have traditional graded assignments, you may want to use this feature for:

• Officer training

• Paperwork deadlines

• Tracking volunteer/service hours
