To manuacture a Fuse V iew™ we heat the glass to it’s molten point where it fows to the wall o the metal. At that pointthe glass uses or bonds to the metal. Then we slowly cool the Fuse V iew™ until the glass solidies. The metal has a higher coecient o expansion than the glass and the metal compresses on the glass. This squeezing prestresses the glass and putsit under radial compression. Glass is strong in compression but not in tension or shear. When the Fuse V iew™ is pressurizedthe glass bends and relieves the compression and avoids tension. This is the same as is done in concrete - it is prestressed in
compression in order to take bending.

The CANTY QuickPort™ is a patented, sae, quickopening closure or process vessels. Originally usedin the oshore diving industry as a transer lockon decompression chambers, QuickPorts™ areused with no additional interlock by the tank to bepressurized or evacuated. A pressure dierentialholds the door securely in place and no bolting isinvolved. Meets ASME code section VIII or quickopening closures. Optional positive interlocks or
hazardous or lethal service are available.
The QuickPort™ eatures a hinged door or window that opens laterally to provide ull port access. Theclosure consists o a pad and a retaining fange held apart by spacers, a foating seal ring and a door or sight glass. As the door is pivoted into the closure the spring loaded seal ring is defected back to allow tdoor or sight glass to t tightly between the fanges. The spring orce creates an air tight seal on the do ace and allows the tank to be pressurized or evacuated.
