UCSA GENERAL ELECTIONS# Elections have been called for the 12th and 13th of August. Nominations are open now.UCSA.org.nz for nomination forms and election details
UCSA Early Learning Centres# The UCSA Early Learning Centres, Montana and Ilam, provide a service that ensures early childhood education is available to a large and growing group of students, allowing them to attend lectures, tutorials and undertake employment.
Our teachers create a warm, friendly, multicultural atmosphere where children feel secure and comfortable. Each child receives individual attention to enhance positive development. The centres philosophy is to observe each child and extend their natural interests!
Spaces are available now for Ilam and Montana Early Learning Centres – log onto UCSA.org.nz/support for details
LECTURER OF THE YEAR 2010# Have you had a lecturer who’s blown your mind this year? Is there someone out there who you think deserves to be rewarded for all the effort and care they put into lectures? Well… here’s your chance!
The annual UCSA Lecturer of the Year Awards are on again, brought to you by the UCSA Education and Support Office! We are looking to you, the students, to vote for the most kickass lecturers on campus who deserve recognition for their efforts. This is a chance to celebrate the good stuff, so get out there and vote!
“How?” you say? Well, you can VOTE ONLINE at the UCSA website (www.ucsa.org.nz). Alternatively, just head on down to one of the UCSA cafes on campus, the Library Foyer, or your good ol’ UCSA building and fill in a voting form or two at one of the Lecturer of the Year voting boxes located there. The voting opens Monday 2nd August for 3 whole weeks so look out for the web graphic and the colourful boxes.
“What’s in it for me?” you say? If you include your email address on your voting form (which we will NOT sell to a marketing company), you’ll be in the draw to win one of 6 Westfield Mall vouchers worth $50 each! Good for Lecturers, possible shopping spree for you, what’s not to love? Voting closes at the end of the day on Friday, August 20th, so get in quick!
Multiple votes for the same lecturer will only count if you give a different reason each time, (so don’t try hitting the resend button hundreds of time) but you can nominate more than one lecturer if there are so many good ones. Photocopied voting forms will not count as multiple votes, – if you love your lecturer, you gotta handwrite them all to count
For more information on Lecturer of the Year, contact the UCSA [email protected]
**Results are not guaranteed to be scientific – just amusing.*****The UCSA would like to thank UBS (University Bookshop) and the University Staff Club for their
support in this event.***
