((The real purpose of this thread is to get Kallile bonded to hernewest Panthera, so if you have a creature you'd like to IC bondto, drop me a PM before you join so we can work out a sort ofbasic plan to go by. x3 ))

She still wasn't quite sure how she had managed to climb uponto the wall of the training grounds, but here she was. Perchedlike a living gargoyle on the boarder between safety andwilderness. Not that that really bothered Kallile. She wouldmuch rather be out in the Forest than hanging around in theWeyrd.

Sighing, she looked out into the wilderness and ignored thesounds of those training their stall-born bonds behind her. Allsimple background noise--even as a few fledgling Gryphon andWyverns fluttered a little to close for comfort as they tried tolearn how to bank with only instructions from their groundedBonds.

There was a shrill behind her, but Kallile thought nothing of it. Askittish Hin Fae or something, she was sure. But then severalother voices joined into the frantic noise. Now she knewsomething more than a scared Faedragon was going on. She hadjust about turned, but the cause of the uproar had beaten her toit. First she heard the strong claws dig into the stone, then shesaw it.

A Panthera--sleek and trim with an almost glittering golden-threaded pelt of shimmering black-violet pelt. The creature fixedher with silver eyes that blazed with a wild fire the likes ofwhich Kallile had only seen once--in Naitouc's eyes. She nearlymissed the fact that in her mouth the Panthera was holding arather expensive looking string of fine colored pearls on agolden chain and a large leg of lamb.

No sooner had their eyes locked than the Panthera gave a felinesnicker and seemed to ghost over the opposite side of thebarrier and make a break for the wilderness. The cries behindher had no ceased, but that didn't bother Kallile. It was thatdamn I just got away with itsmirk that cat had given her.

Well, if she could deal with Naitouc, she could best that thievingdeath-cat. Or, at the very least, get mauled trying to prove it.

The wyvern had to learn to fly and soon. He was always

waddling around awkwardly and catching food that wasntalready dead or just slow and Alice wouldnt be able to afford to

feed him when he was bigger so Roraldi had to learn to fly.

The training ground seemed as good as any spot to start butpast location Alice wasnt sure at all how to go about this.Location was one thing, actually teaching way another. Thank

goodness she had one flying critter.

Zed... Zed comere! The little kallo was flitting around in the sun, trying to make

friends with all the faedragons (and anything else that wasalive, really) in the area but came back when Alice called,

chirping and whistling Good Day Sunshine by The Beatles.

Alice sang along and Roraldi pressed an image on Alice of all ofthe waving good day to the sun. Was that right?

Close enough. Alice laughed, Alright... So Roraldi youregoing to learn to fly today, Alice waved her arms, Flying,

right? He gave her a do you think Im that dumb? look and Alice

blushed, Right well... I dont know how to fly so youll have tolearn f rom Zed.

Zed twittered, promptly jumping down onto the wyverns back,

twittering and chirping excitedly before sliding off the wyverninto the air and... crashing sloppily to the ground.

...Try not to learn landings from him...?

They hadnt gotten very far in the lesson before all hell brokelose in the training grounds. Alice turned to find the cause of

the problems to be a panther with... something large in itsmouth. As the actual event didnt affect her she followed after

the thing (keeping her distance) wondering if she could get abetter look at what it had and maybe find out what had exactly

    happened.

Everything was going great, no attention drawn to herself, nofalling behind and then... She hit the wall. She looked to the

panther wondering which way it would go, right or left. Thepanther went up.

Whoa! She followed it with her eyes and saw somebody up onthe wall as well, noting the dyed hair. Kallile.

She looked around finding a door in the wall and... her bonded.

Theyd followed along obediently behind her the whole way,Hmmm... Hey! Kallile!? Alice called up, Zed producing an

almost wolf-whistle like call up to her, mostly to get herattention and not the usual man-whistling-to-a-lady use of the

whistle. The wyvern was a bit tense as he watched the crowd. The

sudden outburst had everyone all frazzled and Roraldi was, pfft, actually worried for his bonded. Go figure.

She had just barely heard her name called as she plunged over

the side of the wall to land with an unearthly grace on the otherside. Her bestial instincts and reflexes did come in handy just

every so often. Turning quickly she looked through the door tosee NPCs scrambling to close it and block out any more

    potential threats.

"Come on Alice!" She said sharply at the sight of the incomingcrowd. They were in a mild panic (rogue Panthera infiltrating

the city would d that, she supposed) and they would surelytrample the young girl if not her young bonds.

Reaching out a hand she offered it to Alice to guide her through

the door. She didn't really know what she was getting either ofthem into. It was a Panthera--something that was known for its

vicious nature. But at that given moment the lone Panthera witha meal already in it's mouth looked much more tame than the

    crowd filtering towards the door.

The Pumal paused, looking behind her to listen for a moment at

the commotion and the faint voices of Kallile and Alice. So, theywould follow? Well then she'd best lay out a welcome mat.

Go with Kallile or get crushed. Well it wasnt even an option!

She took Kalliles hand as the crowd came forward. Roraldi keptthem off on a moment longer before following after Alice,

almost losing his tail in the door.Hissing and tossing violent images of maiming and decapitating

blank faced strangers were tossed at the mind of those on theother side of the door, his bonded and Kallile not ones to receive

these violent images. Alice would be mad at him if she knew.

Kallile, did you see that? That panther was right next to you! What did it have? She looked more excited then scared, in fact

she didnt know to feel fear just yet. The only time shed met apanther was that time in thestall and Rhett had left pretty

quickly. She didnt know they were rather violent creatures andstrong to boot.

Threats given (the people on the other side only becoming more

frazzled) Roraldi turned back, snuffling at Kallil. No biting.. .

His eternal grin moved towards Kalliles hand, mouth openingwhite teeth right there... but he moved away when Alice opened

her mouth and a little image of a clown popped into her head.Just joking? Yah, maybe.

No kidding around, Roraldi. Alice warned, Noi biting and no

joking. She turned to Kallile in hopes that Roraldi would give upthe jokes if she ignored him.

Letting out a slightly ragged breath as she helped pull Alicethrough the door just before it was slammed close (much to the

dismay of Roraldi, if his fit was any indication), Kallile ran her

nails through her longer hair. Man, that was a close one. Tobiaswould kill her if she had let the child stay behind. Well, he'dprobably still kill her if he knew she now had Alice close to

    Panthera territory.

"Meat...and some expensive looking jewelry." Kallilefrowned, shaking her head. "And I could have sworn it

had...rings in it's frill. Like...hoops, you know?" She flickedlightly at her own ear lobes to try and convey her muddled

    thought process.

"What the heck would a cat want with jewelry?" This wasmused to no one in particular, though her eyes shot down to

watch the infant wyvern opened his mouth at her. She wiselycrossed her arms. Two extremities down from the options of

    meals.

"I dunno, there's something weird about it. ...You wannago check it out? A little pre-adventure adventure?"

Reckless? Definitely? Stupid? Oh yeah? Doing it anyway? Youbet. She'd bring the child along to boot; though she reasoned

that should they actually meet the Panthera again, Alice wouldbe safer with her than just sitting by the door and waiting for

    the frantic people to disperse.

Kallile had Alice at adventure! She didnt seem to really noticethe trouble she might have seriously been in if shed stayed andso neither did Zed; her little mini-me.

It had earings sorta? And jewellery? Maybe its part tzingani?Alice laughed, And alright we should go now if were going tofollow it. If theyre anything like the taigra back home theyre

    probably pretty fast!

The thieving panthera had quite the head start on all of them. How would they even find it?Which way did it go?Head tipped to the side as he listened thoughtfully to theirconversation. Wyvern werent stupid, they just (or Roraldi, anyway) just didnt much care for what others were talkingabout. He was excited for this though, especially after Kallilementioned food. Maybe he could steal it?A food reward at stake Roraldi lowered his face to the ground, hunting out the smell of the panther. Shouldnt be too hard, catand ham was a pretty specific smell.

An image of the forest with a red line going into it popped intothe werewolfs mind, as well as his bondeds.I didnt know you could be useful. Alice said quite with so

much honesty in her voice it was funny. The wyvern huffed, starting down the invisible trail into the woods. Well, come or

go it was up to you but Roraldi was getting that stolen foodfrom that cat.

He didnt seem to realise that this was the same amount of workif he went to hunt down his own, living, food.

"Sort of. Only...through her frill-thing." Kallile said as sherubbed absently at the back of her head. Geeze...she was

bonded to how many of these things and she still didn't knowwhat to call it? To her defense, Amala saw little reason to show

off her frill and both Rhett and Naitouc were fairly scarce. "Who

knows. Maybe it's jealous of Tzingani." She replied with asmile.

The words were shaken right out of her mouth when the imageof the forest witha red line through it popped into her mind.

Whoa! She'd gotten used to the mindspeaking...but this? Thiswas something entirely new. "...How the heck did he do

    that?"

Luckily, she didn't wait long for an answer. She wasn't surethere was one short enough for her attention span. he could,

that was all the mattered. Moving towards the forest she triedto follow the imaginary path Roraldi was broadcasting.

Silvery eyes slid over her shoulder to take careful account of

her followers. Ah, so the infant lizard thought that he would becute and clever, did he?

With a frustrated flare of her frills, the Pumal leapt up into a

tree and began weaving through the branches--intentionallyleaving both her scent and the scent of ham hanging heavy in

the upper atmosphere. Alright, she'd entertain them for a while. But she wasn't losing the element of surprise.

Her frill thing...? Alice knew nothing of panthera anatomy(besides her quick look at Rhett, the trouble maker) but she

tried to think back to that time and did remember a frill.Oh... Okay... Weird!

Alice jogged after Roraldi before slowing to a walk just behind

him, Yah, maybe. Uh... Shed sort of wondered, at thebeginning but since it had become so common place to see

Zed jumped from Alices Shoulder to Kallile, one go pump of hiswings to make up the hiehgt distance between the two of them

before snuggling up close to Kalliles left ear while makingcontented clicking sounds. Awrh, he likes you!

Hot pink eyes eagerly watched the happenings. The thievery, the strange girl with the predatory smell and the human kit and

her wyvern kit and the singing thing... All of it, shed seen thewhole thing and had decided to approach the other panther.

Roraldi stopped letting out an irritated huff. The trail was sort ofcold now. He sniffed around on the ground, going out in a widercircle, and then wider again before sitting down projectingquestion marks. Where was the trail? Alice frowned, not theleast bit a hunter.

Zed looked around at the group and the confusion which lead to

his statement sounding more like a question.Up? His neck stretched out, head tipped up and slightly to theside to look up at the leafy canopy above where anything couldbe lurking.

She couldn't help but grin at the outward affection of the littleKallo on her shoulder. Runi wasn't the cuddling type--and evenif she was she'd be more useful as a massage agent because ofher rather violent twitching habits. Kallile would neverunderstand that. "I guess. Better answer than I can comeup with." She sounded generally amused by the younger girl'sthought process.

other's back. Ah, just an Aurata. Her own frill relaxing back tohide the blinding silver behind folds of royal purple, the other

    female nodded to her sister-in-kin.

Can join. Pesky humans. Maybe fun. The Pumal said in ahoney-sweet voice, a feline grin spreading across her face as

she relinquished her stolen prizes to the hold of the tree. How

could one be truly intimidating if their mouth was full?

    ~*~

The group had entered something as close to a clearing as theouter forest could yield. The trees were just a little further

apart--a new area of forest where the trunks had not yet hadthe years needed to grow as massive as the inner forest.

At the image of question marks and the voice of the Kallo,Kallile did look up, narrowing her eyes as she took a step closer

to Alice. Shit, this could be bad...

    ~*~

AS soon as the group of 'hunters' was under them, the Pumal

lashed out her tail behind her, already long claws pushed forthjust a little more to dig into the tree bark. They were just whereshe wanted them. With a look back to her kindred Aurata, the

Pumal leapt don from the tree and landed to the side of thegroup--closest to Alice.

Stupid humans. Chase Panthera. No sense in heads. The

Pumal reprimanded them, flashing pearly white fangs to thegroup in mock malice before unfurling her frill to show off the

intense silver coloring hiding in the folds.

The aurata sat still, watching the other work her ranks magic,

the swagger the everything. It was all she ever wanted, really.Luck. Good luck. Have fun.

She watched the predatory woman looked up (the singing thing

hidden in the womans hair was out of the way and out of sight). She watched for a moment longer, how curious. What predator

mother brings her useless kit to hunt down panther?Fascinating, really.

The arrival of the panthera had Alices heart in her throat in amoment. She jumped back as well, her feet coming out fromunder her while Roraldi stepped forward defensively. His headwas lowered to the ground, the frill atop her head was raised, neon greens (small splotches of a puke green, he didnt like to

raise his frill often) standing out in a savagely bright array. Hehissed showing his rather skinny, boney butt slashing savagelyinto the other panther. The image was primitive but violent andthe message was clear:

Touch his bonded and you die.

Zed was, on the other hand, less affectionate now. His vibrantblue and white frills stood on end and he jumped down from

Kalliles shoulder landing messily on Alices head. He looked abit panicked and jittery but angry as well as he puffed himself

    out, hissing angrily.

Ah, the fear was exactly what she wanted to see. As Alicerecoiled and her pathetic little hatchling lizard and fae-thinghissed and carried on, the Pumal took a few swaggering stepsforward, testing the waters for just how tough these egg-toothed babies though they could really be against her.

Her sister-kin's appearance from out of the tree came as littlesurprise. Even the Aurata had a fighting spirit in themsomewhere--it just needed the right motive to awaken. Andawaken it had, by the looks of things. Extending her claws to dgalmost tauntingly at the dirt before her, she lashed out her tailand gave a returned hiss of her own.

Two leggers not kin. No use protect from own stupidity. She purred out to Roraldi, taking a few taunting steps closer asher blinding silver eyes flickered up to watch Alice in amalicious manner, looking as if she may spring at any moment.

Kallile's eyes were locked in a spin-cycle motion between Pumaland Aurata. She was right, this was bad. Where did this one

come from? It was too big to be a cub, that was for sure.Sisters? She had to doubt it. They were cats at heart and evenblood-relatives didn't seem to matter much in the cat world.

"And why do you think we need taught so badly?" This shesaid directed to the Aurata. If she was anything like Amala, shewould be more willing to reason than to fight.

But none of that mattered now. She had brought Alice out hereand she had to get her back in one piece. Ohman, Tobias wasgoing to murderher if he found out about this. Her eyes darted

to the Pumal, seemingly the most poised to attack. "Just stayclose.." She told Alice as calmly as possible, trying to keepboth child and faedragon from breaking into a panic. She didn'twant Zed getting eaten out of fright, after all.

    together.

Why teach?the aurata asked. As much as she was willing tofight shed rather turn to verbal assaults. If has to ask clearly not smart. Followed here to ambush. Evenbrought human kit. Stupid. The aurata turned to look at Alice when she mentioned her. Thetwo had the dark head fur and the same pale skin. The olderwoman was a canine and had only one green eye but as far asthe aurata could tell Kallile was Alices mother. She had noreason to think otherwise.

Sending your kit out to find a bonded? Like panthera? Most queens didnt try to bond their kits out, unless they

Alice noted the shiver and tried not to copy. Shivers were bad;very very bad. The kallo hissed nervously at the cats, keepingclose to his bonded. He wasnt the most out going and hewouldnt be the first to jump into a fight with a big cat. He likedto sing and dance and have fun, that was Zed.

The aurata came around closer to Alice and gave her a funny, appraising look.Scrawny... Weak... Runt of litter?the aurata asked, morecurious then malicious, though to have that kind of informationwould be handy. Alice huffed, feeling a little more comfortable

Alice didnt look like much but shed done some martial arts atschool and had read a lot of good adventure novels. Also shedtemporarily disabled a vampire, betch! Dont mess with her!

So I wouldnt suggest trying anything funny, cat-thing I couldtotally-!!! At this point the other, scarier panthera had laughedsomething fierce and lunged. Alice had Kallile and Roraldibetween her but she noticed the movement the intent and

automatically screamed.Well okay she still got scared easy, besides shed been attackedfrom behind before and it had ended... poorly, to say the least.

Roraldi lowered himself to the ground as the cat soared over hishead. Those claws and the pure and powerful movements. Eventhough hed only ever experienced the ground he was still aclumsy awkward shuffling creature. He was a creature of the airtrapped on land and trying his best. His best would never even match a panthera cub, much less thisbeast. He would try his best though.

As the panther soared over him Roraldi stretched his long, skinny neck out and towards the cat; jaws wide. If he couldcatch her tail that would at least halt her somewhat, give Alicesfriend some help in keeping this thing off of his bonded.

The aurata, ignoring the pumals fight (it wasnt hers she wasnot a part of it) stalked towards Alice. Not a fighter, but if cub wants fight cub will GET fight. At this Alice jumped, turning her fear to anger, I dont want tofight! You guys jumped us! Obviously YOU want a fight!

The two looked like they were going to go into a: You want tofight! No you! No you! NO YOU! type-o-fight. Oh jeeze.

Kallile watched in what was best termed slow-motion horror asthe Pumla soared at her. She could feel her body tense of it's

own will and prepare for the blow...that never came.

The Pumal fell from the air and onto her belly--the tail of thelady-death-cat caught in Roraldi's mouth. The Panthera let out a

bestial roar, whirling around to try and bring a realfight to thewyvern. Fighting dirty was for Mehdayri...this little hatchling

    would learn his lesson.

Kallile saw her chance and leapt at the cat--wrapping her armsaround the Pumal's neck and trying to find a hold that would

keep her away from the teeth and claws.

"Alice! Get a stick or something!" She yelled out in the wildthrashing of the Pumal as the cat went after both human and

wyvern. She couldn't see what was going on, but she was wellaware that the girl and her faedragon were left alone with the

Aurata. She'd need some sort of weapon--for all that Kallileknew.

Roraldi had bit down hard and with a combination of timing andpure luck hed caught the cat. The momentum brought him tothe ground as well; brownish-red legs kicking as he tried to getup, but his own clumsy self plus the fact that he wasnt about tolet go of that tail (he was like a pit bull, hed let go when hewas DEAD!) so he remained on the ground sending the mostviolent images he could come up with. If anything it could bepretty good distraction.Too bad he couldnt help his bonded, but this was helping, insome ways, right?

Alice stiffened and quickly looked around for something. Bleh, nothing. OH! She had her knife in the leather bag she had.Looking at her bag and then her opponent she wasnt decided

that going for the knife might initiate an attack... Hmmm...

She does not want fight. Hardly fight, though. Puny humancub. Barely fight. If I had my knife... Alice growled, but of them had their furup, the auratas frill was up too. It was pale grey-pink shades, nothing impressive like the pumals with its blue and vibrantsilver. Simple, pale grey dots decorated the frill and at themoment there was no obvious rhyme or reason to them, notthat Alice cared to much about that. What did did care aboutwas what the aurata said.Have knife? In bag? If so, get. We fight. If you hit, you win.Alice was dumbstruck, If I hit even once? ... Can I pick my

weapon? Alice asked, the second question surprising thepanthera.

... If cub wants a stick instead of knife... The panther said...

vibrant pink eyes narrowing in suspicion. This fight was muchless violent then the other one going on just next to them. Both

seemed to be in their own world, together but cut off fromeverything else.

Can I pick my own weapon? Zed suddenly perked and startedkeening nervously for no apparent reason, though this whole

thing was probably stressing the little dragon out.

... You can pick your weapon. Will not hit.And if I dont land a hit? Alice asked, feeling the hairs on theback of her neck stand on end as the panthera opened her

    mouth in a sick grin.

Then little cub loses, I win. Simple.

The Pumal seemed nothing if not more angered by the images

the little wyvern was sending her. Little senseless, furless cub! What did he truly think he was messing with? For now the

human around her neck wasn't her concern--merely anannoyance. The sharp little hatchling teeth in her tail, however,

were quite a different story and the Pumal made a sloppy lungefor Roraldi; Kallile's weight helping to make her fall only just

short of biting at the baby. Claws, however, were dangerouslyclose though badly aimed. Snarling loudly in what might have

been a cursing fashion, the Pumal refocused on Kallile. Alright,human-cub-stealer, you were on her last nerve with your

    annoying bulk.

The momentum of the lunge had successfully dislodged Kallilefrom the Panthera's back and made her slide down under the

death-cat. All the while still clinging to the creature's thick neckfor dear life. When the Pumal angled her head down to snarl

deadly fangs at the werewolf woman, Kallile did the only thingshe could think of. Pulled up her legs fast, dug her heels into

the Panthera's ribs and shoved. "Let go, little man!"

The command, of course, being for Roraldi. His name wasforgotten completely in the fray. Frantic eyes darted to Alice

and panic turned swiftly to relief to find the girl unharmed andin some sort of odd negotiation instead. Well, that was all well

and good. Negotiate away. She'd keep the big bad Pumal at bay.

Sloppy or not that claw caught the wyvern, close to tearing his

wing but not quite, just tearing into his chest. He screeched, letting go of the pumals tail and backing away; a scrabbling

mass of green scales. He hissed and screeched away, making a loud scene of the

over as he backed away from the pumal, chest bleeding. Hebacked off, hissing and trying to look big and frightening as he

    retreated from the pumal.

Roraldi would have stayed with Kallile but Alice tugged at theline that connected them, Roraldi hissing as moved sideways,

    scooting towards Alice.

Meanwhile Alice and the aurata were starring one another done.Neither looked away from nerves but Alice was feeling them.

This was her first encounter with anything so wild an dangerous.A wild tzingane or faedragon? No problem. A wild panthera?

That was just scary. But she held her ground, fists tightening the aurata laughed,

    getting ready to jump Alice.

Giving up, cub?the panther asked, pin striped grey taillashing back and forth. Too easy.

My weapon can be anything then? Double and triple confirmbecause she KNEW the panthera would argue this as soon as

    she said it.

Yes yes!the aurata said, impatience in her voice and thesnarling meow she threw in to show her impatience, Choosenow, cub, or not at all.

My weapon is Roraldi, She said with as muchconvidence she

could muster, gesturing to the agony who was now arriving atAlices side. He looked a bit confused, at what shed said before

turning his curious brown eyes to the aurata. Frill up, lips backso his gums showed, he hissed angrily, tail lashing.

The dull pink frill of the auratas stood high, quivering with

anger as she hissed at the girl and her bonded. Not weapon! Stupid scaled bonded!

You said anything! Alice said, keeping steady. Even with aknife shed be hard pressed to get this aurata and not get killed.

Not BONDED! Think bonded as weapon? The aurata snapped, sounding almost disgusted as she ripped into an angry cats

hissing meow.Alice shook her head, I wouldnt ask him to represent me if I

wasnt sure he was game. Her attention turned to Roraldi andshe noticed he was hurt.

She didnt have time to say anything, Roraldi shaking his head, blood rolling down her chest. He was fine, this cat on the other

hand, she was not. Not when he was done with her.

... Fine... ! She wins, his,she snarled at the wyvern whohissed in return, His blood on cubs paws! YOUR fault!

She winced at this but held firm in her decision. She wouldnever do anything to get Roraldi hurt, not on purpose. She knew

    he could do this.

He was a little left out but the kallo was glad for it, moving tocurl, rather tightly, around Alices neck as he bursts into We

    Are The Champions.

Shit. Kallile hadn't seen the blow, but she had seen the blood

that was slowly dripping to the ground. She'd let Alice's bondget hurt; what kind of a friend was she. But there was no time

to lament on all the reasons she was a horrible person for

dragging Alice out here with her. There was a larger adventureto be had soon--if this little detour did them in then the realadventure would have swallowed them whole anyway.

"You stupid death-cats. Sometimes I wonder why I even

try and put up with most of you..." Kallile snarled to thePumal with malice dripping from her words like venom. She was

trying hard to keep her anger in check. Alice didn't need thedanger of two fully grown Panthera anda half-form werewolf.

The Pumal had landed gracelessly on her forepaws and right

hip--unable to turn as quickly as would have been required forthe typical "cats always land on their feet" saying. With a growl

she hauled her backside off the forest floor and staggered backtowards the werewolf woman. My, but did that move hurt. Silver

eyes slid over to her Aurata sister-kin to gather the type ofbattle she was waging. Hardly seemed fair, though she had to

begrudgingly give the little Wyvern props. Her tail was slightlymangled--blood oozing calmly from the teeth marks.

Watch, sister. She called, though the word 'sister' here meant

no true family ties. They were a nameless bunch until bonded--it was merely a temporary title. Teeth sharp. Teach him fear

    Panthera!

She, on the other hand, had much larger things to worry about.Like teaching the woman to fear her. Springing into the air she

pounced on Kallile--driving both to the ground to sandwich thewoman between ground and Panthera. This time the Pumal

would not fall for the kicking trick again. Sharp hind claws foundKallile's legs and dug in. This woman wasn't going to be

assaulting her ribs again anytime soon.

The chances of her winning this fight unscathed were prettylow; even a wyvern-cub could get lucky. But she would try, especially with the goading of the other panthera, her sister.

Well? She is waiting....the aurata growled, tensing as sheturned her attention to the wyvern who was on all fours, readyto rumble. Roraldi didnt seem fazed at being called upon tofight for Alice. A bit surprised that this had even occurred, butnot exactly upset about the whole thing. This would besomething to brag about later and being young he really didneed something to show his worth in future chases, right?

One more hiss from Roraldi, showing his anger and macho-nessbefore he moved forward, one clawed wing swinging at theauratas face. With a mental laugh the aurata sprang off the ground with

seemingly no effort, front paws landing on Roraldis back, hindpaws kicking him in the back of the head. A squawk of a cry

from Roraldi before his chin hit the ground, followed by hisbody. He flailed about hissing and snapping but apparently

unable to get at the aurata. The panther was still laughing asshe jumped off of Roraldi, taking a swing at... Alice?!

Zed hissed, lunging forward as Alice tripped backward, her ownclumsy feet saving her from a wicked gash to the chest.AH! Alice gasped, backing away, The fight is with Roraldi!

She gasped, anger mixing with confusion. The aurata growled,Bonded is weapon! Goal is you! This fight between cub and

    aurata! Watch words, runt-cub!

Realization struck as Alice grabbed desperately for her bag toget her knife, only to have the aurata dig her claws into the

bag.Weapon is scale bonded, not knife. Remember?

Wincing and digging her nails into the Pumal's thick forepaws,Kallile tried to squirm out from the hold unsuccessfully. She

heard Alice's scream and all at once she forgot that she wasabout to become the newest flavor of Cat Chow. Eyes flashing to

the scene of the girl and the Aurata her heart stopped dead inmid-beat.

She was going to get hurt or worse.

And it would all be her fault.

Without even looking back to the Panthera above her fully to

see the exact whereabouts of the sharp fangs, Kallile thrust herhead up and connected with the cat square in the jaw in a

headbutt. Instantly she felt the fangs break skin and there wasa rush of warmth on her face as streams of blood began to ooze

down. The cat roared but threw herself off the woman to throwher paws over her aching nose and jaw.

Leaping to her feet, Kallile nearly sprinted across the short

distance between her own battle ground and what was quicklybecoming Alice's. 'You've got this. I've got your back...

Come on, Alice. You're the only one who can help yourselfnow..."

She said in a shaky voice as she wiped away some of the blood

slowly collecting in her eyebrows. She was feeling dizzy fromthe bone-to-teeth connection, but she wasn't going to let that

stop her from seeing this kid went back to the Weyrd in onepiece.

The Pumal, on the other hand, didn't look so keen to the same

train of thought. Furious silver eyes flashed to Kallile and shebegan to slowly stalk back towards the woman. Give her a

bloody lip, would she? She would be sure to make more than

She really was. The hissing Zed was no help and she wasnt surewhen Roraldi would step in to take up the attack, or evenwhether or not that would keep her from getting hurt. This thingwas smart and fast so shed have to... Eh, get a little hurt forthis, it seemed.

With one leg she kicked towards the paw on her bag, as if shewas still going after the knife. The aurata easily detached herpaw from the back, swiping the paw at Alices leg who was atthis point, trying topull arway in hopes of catching the catsclaws in the sole of the sneaker. Unfortunately she wasnt quitethat fast, claws catching just above her ankle while avoidingcutting the Achilles tendon.

Alice clenched her teeth, her other foot already on the move ona much more direct and destructive path to the cats face. Alicewas pretty good when it came to fighting from the ground asmost kids shed use to fight with before didnt take their time intrying to disable her by getting her on the ground and underthem. This was her kind of fight (minus the sharp weapons and

    possible deadly outcome).

Her sneaker connected to the side of the auratas snarling face, kicking the cats head up and back. The cat was back, a snarl ofa meow ripped from her throat as she also tore a bloody stripout of Alices leg.Alice reacted in kind, processing the new pain, the metal smellof blood and a fuzzy euphoria that her poorly, rushed plan hadactually worked in some form.

By this time Roraldi had turned back to the panthera and wasnow jumping onto her back, biting the back of her neck whiletrying to get a good hold on this cat to tear her apart. Hurt HIS

bonded, will you?Zed, meanwhile, had jumped down, scrabbling towards Aliceswounds and started hissing and spitting at the aurata, not to faroff. Alice couldnt worry about either one right now becauseKallile was..Behind you! Alice gasped. Oh my gawd, she was going to getKallile killed!

The aurata snapped angrily at Roraldi, surprised that sheactually... liked this girl. She was a runt, like herself but shewas smart and seemed to do... mildly well under stress. Shedtried to get another to fight for her; though not usually a goodtrait, it fit the childs needs; it was not like she wasnt afraid tofight herself as shed just proven that. She also knew not to let

pride get in her way and she knew when she was no match forthe aurata. A curious child.
