BRONCHICINE® CAe USES:

Bronchicine CAe is licensed for the vaccination of healthy dogs 8 weeks of age or older as an aid in the control of canine infectious tracheobronchitis (kennel cough) caused by Bordetella bronchiseptica.

Bronchicine CAe is prepared from antigenic material extracted from the Bordetella bronchiseptica bacterium. An immunogenic strain of B. bronchiseptica is grown to a high yield, then subjected to a proprietary process which extracts the antigens from the B. bronchiseptica cells. The residual cell debris is then removed, resulting in a product which retains the desirable immunologic qualities of a whole cell bacterin, while helping reduce toxic and other undesirable side effects sometimes associated with whole cell bacterins.

Bronchicine CAe is a killed cellular extract of the Bordetella bronchiseptica bacterium.

A one year duration of immunity has been demonstrated for all three fractions.

Vanguard crLyme vaccine is licensed for the vaccination of healthy dogs 8 weeks of age or older against Borrelia burgdorferi. It is recommended for dogs that may be at risk for exposure to Ixodes spp. ticks which are the vector for B. burgdorferi.

While Lyme disease is recognized as endemic in certain areas of the U.S., such as the Northeast and Upper Midwest, it is also important to note that the prevalence of Lyme disease has been on the rise across the country for several years.*

Vanguard crLyme utilizes recombinant technology to help provide a targeted immune response to two immunologically relevant surface proteins, outer surface protein A (OspA) and outer surface protein C (OspC), on the B. burgdorferi bacteria. It is the first Lyme disease vaccine to address the extensive variability of the OspC protein as it contains antigenic material from 7 types of OspC integrated into a chimeric recombinant protein. Vanguard DAMPi is for vaccination of healthy puppies 6–12 weeks of age as an aid in preventing canine distemper (CD) caused by canine distemper virus, infectious canine hepatitis (ICH) caused by canine adenovirus type 1 (CAV-1), respiratory disease caused by CAV-2 and canine parainfluenza (CPI) caused by canine parainfluenza virus (CPiV).

The measles virus component helps provide heterotypic protection against CD virus in puppies regardless of circulating CD antibody levels. Heterotypic immunity should not be relied on for protection after 16 weeks of age.

It contains highly attenuated strains of CD virus, measles virus, CAV-2 and canine parainfluenza virus (CPiV). The CAV-2 component has demonstrated cross-immunization against CAV-1 and helps immunize against CAV-2.

Vanguard DM is for vaccination of healthy puppies 6-12 weeks of age as an aid in preventing disease caused by canine distemper virus. It is specifically designed to help provide puppies with temporary protection from canine distemper regardless of maternal antibody levels. Heterotypic immunity should not be relied on for protection after 16 weeks of age.

A single 1 mL dose should be administered intramuscularly to healthy dogs between 6-12 weeks of age and followed by 1 dose of a vaccine containing canine distemper virus between 14-16 weeks of age.

Vanguard Plus CPV is licensed for vaccination of healthy dogs 6 weeks of age or older for the prevention of canine parvoviral enteritis caused by canine parvovirus (CPV). In addition, cross-protection against CPV type 2c has been demonstrated.

Vanguard Plus CPV is a high-titer, modified-live canine parvovirus (CPV) strain attenuated by low passage on an established canine cell line. The combination of high titer and low passage gives Vanguard Plus CPV the immunogenic properties capable of stimulating active immunity in the presence of maternal antibodies. Some puppies in the field may have higher levels of maternal antibodies than those evaluated in our pivotal efficacy study.

KEY BENEFITS:

• Inherently greater immunogenicity of a low-passage CPV produced at high titer can help stimulate active immunity in the presence of maternal antibodies.
