Will prioritise givingthe water board as many opportunities as possible to work for
climate and environment.
They have the power and the knowledge to take the initiative.Water board is an executive organisation
The costs will be fairly divided as taxes. For people with <130% of the minimum income we ask for
exemption from taxes.
This way we are green and red at the same time.
The Green Party wants to close the floodplains behind the new dike completely forpeople. No swimming, no hiking, no birding allowed.
PvdA wants to create opportunities for small scalerecreation like hiking, swimming and fishing.
Of course nature-friendly recreation. We are convincedthat this stimulates the love of people for the surroundings of the city. People who can enter nature, see the beauty, will keep it clean and take care of it. This will improve the acceptance for spending so muchmoney on nature.
Hope we can “polder” (=Dutch negotiating) this.
Why vote PvdA?
• We want to give extra attention te the climate in the cities, especially in those parts with social housing, to prevent peoplesuffering from heat stress.
• We prefer to invest in innovation instead of conservativelysticking to the basic tasks.
• We will guard that the taxes for the inhabitants will bereasonable. Especially with new laws in the making we must remain vigilant.

Proposition #2Water boards should invest more in innovation (for example in recycling waste water or urban
water systems), and therefore households should pay a higher tax.
Proposition #3When the water needs for nature and agriculture clash in a certain situation, agriculture should
always be given priority
