Application for First Officer position Dear Sir / Madam Being young, motivated and professional are some of my key-features in search of a job in aviation. Your company would be the place where I would like to prove myself as a skilled pilot. On the 11th of February, I finished my training at the Sabena Flight Academy. I have passed both the commercial and instrument checkride at the first attempt and ended the advanced MCC-course with a standard high score. This was a real challenge for me: not only using technical knowledge and flying skills, but also working as a crew to ensure a safe flight. As I am only 19 years old, that doesn’t mean that I am new to aviation. I started flying in a club at the age of 15 and combined school with several jobs to pay for the courses. Recently I passed the BCAA examination and interview to become airfield commander (Youngest one in Belgium!!) at Koksijde. I am convinced that I posses all qualities and skills that you are looking for in future pilots. I have added an updated CV and hope to explain my motivation in an interview.
Sincerely
Bert Indevuyst

Annex 1: ACPP Description & Evaluation
The Airline Career Preparation Program (ACPP) has been designed to prepare the trainee for the next step in his flying career: the position of First Officer at an airline. In order to accomplish this, the course focuses on three major aspects: 1. Compliance with the JAR-FCL requirements for MCC courses; 2. Introduction and instruction of basic jet flying techniques; and, 3. Preparation for the simulator session of the recruitment procedure of an airline. The course is very similar to a type rating training. It consists of all the elements of a type rating: theoretical knowledge training, synthetic flight training and an evaluation session (the latter is not required by JAR-FCL for MCC courses). Whereas the classical MCC training focuses only on the non-technical aspects of the multi-crew flying, the ACPP also instructs, trains and evaluates the technical aspects of jet flying in a multi-crew environment. The trainee gets in-depth instruction of basic jet flying and this on a high performance jet FFS. Any trainee who completes the ACPP successfully is well prepared to succeed the practical part of the recruitment procedure of an airline and the subsequent type rating training. The Practical training consists of (amongst other exercises):
Raw data flying (all engine and one engine out) Engine failure on takeoff (with and without the use of FD) One engine out flying One engine precision approaches (with and without the use of FD) Rejected takeoff.
During the theoretical knowledge training, the trainees perform CBT, FMS, CPT and FBS training. The trainees are graded for their technical skills as well as for their non-technical skills throughout the training. The assessment of the evaluation session is very detailed for both technical and non-technical skills. A CRM debriefing system is used during the entire simulator training. This user-friendly system allows debriefing of the session by means of digital recordings. It is the ideal tool for this kind of training, since the trainees have never operated in a multi-crew environment and are not yet aware in which fields of multi-crew work they are strong and in which fields they must improve their behavior and/or performance. The ACPP is currently available only for the B737-Classic and is under development for the A320.
