 Austin Metz

College name: Grand Rapids CC

This is a huge story on campus. The editor rightly identified it assuch and gave it strong play on the front page. It could have placed higher with quotesfrom students, especially football players, on the loss of the program and a clearer andmore detailed explanation of the allegations. Which properties? When did this happen? The Freedom of Information Act would be a great tool on a story like this; if you use it,be sure to say so. The reporter also doesnt push administrators hard enough whenthey say the circumstances didnt contribute to the canceling of the program, particularlysince they say the idea has been considered since 1985. Why hadnt it been canceled

already if that were the case? Force them to defend their positions and keep going untilthey do.
