What a year it has been! Prompt payment passing in the legislature, others following the lead; federal buy-in, and more momentum. A successful trade case that will help to preserve business within our borders. A trade war that has provided one resounding positive – STEEL is at the forefront of most people’s discussions today. The governments are more eager than ever to talk with “steel people” which gives each of us more opportunities to showcase what we do!

The CISC has a long list of accomplishments – please take the time to learn about them. Even though trade and advocacy has taken the limelight, talk to the staff to get more details about the benefits of CISC.

The past Chair, Laurier Trudeau, had a mandate of communication – thank you. I, last September, started my term with a mandate of teamwork. We have certainly proven what can be done when we work together. Prompt payment and the trade case success are but two examples!

To conclude, I would like to thank the board of directors and the CISC staff for their support and assistance throughout the past year. To all members and associates, thank you for your participation – let’s forge ahead as a TEAM.

The CISC has never in its history provided this much tangible and soon-to-be realized benefits to the financial bottom line of our Members & Associates than in the last two years.

This annual report shows just how busy and how successful the CISC (staff, Members & Associates, Board Members) has been on its strategy to protect and grow our domestic industry.

Some key successes that affect every member directly or indirectly are the leadership in the spread of prompt payment legislation across the country both federally and provincially, the successful CISC led anti-dumping fight preventing illegally priced fabricated steel entering Canada and the CISC lobbying for financial programs to soften the financial risks of the tariffs against U.S. steel.

The CISC will continue to drive for prompt payment legislation until we see it implemented everywhere in Canada. We will continue to protect and lobby for free & fair trade. We will vehemently defend Canada against countries dumping fabricated steel into Canada. That’s what we do.

STAKEHOLDERS ` Championed prompt payment throughout the

country to ensure our Members & Associates in the construction industry get paid on time. Our efforts resulted in Ontario enacting Bill 142, the Construction Lien Amendment Act, which included prompt payment provisions. Following this win, Manitoba introduced and passed second reading for Bill 218, the Prompt Payments in the Construction Industry Act. Saskatchewan’s provincial government has also committed to updating their current Builders’ Lien Act to include prompt payment and adjudication legislation in the fall of 2018. Additionally, Quebec has implemented a pilot project that assess a prompt payment regime, adjudication and accountability reporting measures.

` In early 2017, with the support of the CISC, Bill S-224, the Canada Prompt Payment Act passed in the senate with unanimous support. Since then, the CISC has continued to provide critical input to the Canadian government regarding the establishment of federal prompt payment legislation. The CISC is leading the development and implementation of the proper legislation that will ensure that everyone down the construction supply chain will be paid on time for all government projects.

` The CISC federally won the world’s first fabricated industrial steel components (FISC) anti-dumping and subsidizing trade case, resulting in trade duties levied against China, South Korea, and Spain. Consequently, we preserved over 1.5 million man hours and restored work worth 100,000 tonnes of fabricated steel back to Canada. Our efforts have ensured fairness and has protected our Canadian market share from illegal trade.

` CISC countered an appeal by Suncor, LNG Canada, Fluor, and Lafarge to the FISC trade duties to uphold the Canadian International Trade Tribunal’s ruling and, ultimately preserving the Canadian steel supply chain.

` The CISC advocated for Ontario’s Bill 194, Fairness in Procurement Act, which protects Ontario from one-way Buy America trade procurement practices. As a result of our on-going lobbying for fair and reciprocal trade, Bill 194 received Royal Assent in April 2018.

` Disputed LNG Canada’s duty remission request to Canada’s Finance Ministry, claiming that Canada does not have the ability or expertise to fabricate FISC for LNG modules. The CISC challenged this request to champion the use of fairly priced FISC for all LNG projects in order to maintain global competitiveness for Canadian fabricators.

` Urged politicians to address the political platforms affecting the steel construction industry at the CISC's annual “Day on the Hill” and across regional legislators. Alongside a national delegation of Members & Associates, we continue to act as Canada’s voice for the steel construction industry.

` Partnered with Dan Leduc of Norton Rose Fulbright to provide an exclusive specialized steel legal team that will provide quick resolutions, less preliminary legal education, lower costs and better outcomes for CISC Members & Associates in need of legal assistance.

` Strengthened steel education in Canada with engineering

and architectural professors from universities across Canada at the CISC’s biennial Educator’s Forum.

` The CISC provides leadership to over 20 different codes and standards writing committees to ensure the competitiveness of the steel industry.

` Developed CISC Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) exclusively for participating CISC fabricators in order to provide exclusive access to LEED v4 building projects.

` Challenged nine university teams at the 3rd CSCE-CISC Canadian National Steel Bridge Competition to push the boundaries of innovative thinking, while exposing hundreds of students to steel design and construction.

` Successfully showcased the versatility, performance and sustainability of steel across the country at SteelDay 2017.

` Promoted steel by exhibiting and presenting at construction industry trade shows across Canada.

` Launched new Steel Careers page on the CISC website. This new feature assists industry professionals with various levels of experience to plan their next steel career by providing a vast amount of integrated steel career options, a definition, a level of knowledge and skill required, as well as the applicable training and academic institutions that can help reach their goals.

` Launched the CISC Job Board as a platform to complement the hiring initiatives of our Members & Associates. With over 16 million hits per year on the CISC website, we are amplifying our Members & Associates’ efforts in obtaining high quality candidates within the Canadian steel construction industry.

` CISC is now active on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google+, Google My Business and Instagram. Through these new lanes of communication, we are reaching all our industry stakeholders and local Canadian markets with direct messaging. In addition, it provides an interactive opportunity to promote and advocate for the steel industry!

` The 2017 Canadian Steel Conference in Calgary brought together the steel industry’s leading experts and professionals from across Canada to educate and promote advancements in steel construction.

FINANCIAL ` Launched new CISC National Consulting

Company Associate category for design companies with multiple offices. This new category provides the ability to bring all offices into the CISC family in order to take advantage of the special promotions and options for this category.

` The CISC introduced a new platform to increase funding for research, development and training programs. The CISC is now looking for donations from the entire steel construction industry to accelerate innovation and competitiveness of steel in Canada.

` The CISC is now providing several of its publications electronically online. We are looking to continuously expand on this list for the benefit of the steel industry.

` The CISC is now offering exclusive advertising opportunities on the CISC website. This platform provides more value to CISC membership and increases digital reach to companies across Canada and abroad. This platform is available only to Members & Associates.

INTERNAL PROCESSES ` To better track and meet strategic plan initiatives,

the CISC has implemented a balanced scorecard in major departments within the organization.

` Transitioned CISC’s corporate website to a new hosting service that has increased the website speed time and reliability, enhancing the overall user experience.

` Surveyed engineers and architects in order to provide engineering/architectural courses in formats that best suit the needs of the user.

ORGANIZATIONAL GROWTH ` Ongoing strategic meetings are conducted by the

CISC Board of Directors to align the needs of the steel construction industry on a national and regional level.

` Education and training courses are offered on a consistent basis and are made available to internal staff to ensure the skill sets necessary to perform each individual role is up to industry standards.

The CISC has been pushing for unique legislation that ensures timely payments to contractors and sub-contractors working on construction projects across the country. We continue to provide support and work closely with each region’s provincial government, as well as the federal government, to encourage the development of strong prompt payment legislation.

There is a dire need to implement changes to the status quo if we want the Canadian construction industry to succeed.

We look forward to the progress of nationwide prompt payment legislation.

ONGOING DEVELOPMENTS » British Columbia Law Institute is in the process of reviewing the province’s current Builders’ Lien Act as part of the Builders Lien Reform Project.

» New Brunswick’s Legislative Services Branch of the Office of the Attorney General released Law Reform Notes #40 that highlighted the need to modernize the province’s Construction Act, based on Ontario’s findings. The Legislative Services Branch is soon to release its Law Reform Notes #41, which is expected to address prompt payment and adjudication.

December 2017

With the ongoing advocacy efforts of the CISC, Ontario enacts prompt payment legislation through reforms of the existing Construction Lien Act. Bill 142, the Construction Lien Amendment Act, is the first prompt payment regime of any kind in Canada and creates a new standard for other provinces to follow.

December 2017

Quebec passes Bill 108, an Act to facilitate oversight of public bodies’ contracts and to establish the Autorité des marchés publics. This allows the provincial government to implement pilot projects intended to test various construction law reforms for public contracts and subcontracts. The assessments will include a prompt payment regime, adjudication and accountability reporting measures. The CISC will continue to maintain an open dialogue with the provincial government about the importance of prompt payment to ensure the right legislation is developed in Quebec.

January 2018

The Canadian federal government calls on the construction industry to further develop Bill S-224, the Canada Prompt Payment Act. With the recommendations of the CISC, industry stakeholders and the leading consultants who assisted in implementing Ontario’s Bill 142, the Canadian government will develop legislation to ensure the timely flow of payments from contractors to subcontractors who work on federal government projects.

April 2018

With the implementation of Ontario’s Bill 142 as a guide, as well as the support from the CISC, Manitoba introduces and passes second reading of Bill 218, the Prompt Payments in the Construction Industry Act. This bill proposes payment obligations ensuring that all those involved in a construction contract will be paid within reasonable time frames. If not, the defending contractor or subcontractor will have the right to dispute resolution.

June 2018

Saskatchewan’s government announces their commitment to introduce amendments to the current Builders’ Lien Act. These changes will include prompt payment and adjudication provisions that ensures invoices are paid within a 30-day window. The CISC will continue to help develop the communication strategy, while meeting with government official to promote the need for prompt payment legislation.

CISC CERTIFICATION PROGRAMSThere are two separate certification programs currently offered by the CISC: Steel Structures and Steel Bridges.

CISC has one of the most comprehensive and independently audited quality certification programs in the industry. The CISC Quality Certification program has been rapidly gaining traction across the country. Multiple provincial jurisdictions are already specifying or actively considering specification of CISC Quality Certified fabricators. The S6-14 Bridge Standard now requires fabricators to be quality certified and the CISC Quality Certification program is recognized and referenced in the standard.

EDUCATION AND RESEARCH COUNCILThe CISC Education and Research Council (ERC) funds and directs the national education and research activities of CISC, monitors and assists education and research activities in the CISC regions, and provides advice and oversight on CISC Training operations. Funding for education and research activities is provided through CISC member and associate dues, and special contributions by the CWB Group, the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers, Nucor-Yamato Steel, Atlas Tube, Gerdau and SSAB North America.

COMPETITIONS

In May 2018, the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) and the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) hosted the third annual Canadian National Steel Bridge Competition (CNSBC). This highly anticipated event was held at the University of Waterloo in Ontario.

The CNSBC challenges students with bright minds and competitive spirits to produce innovative ideas and to collaborate creatively. It’s a fun and competitive platform that gives young engineers the confidence to apply their knowledge and learn from our experienced industry professionals.

This year, nine university teams from across the country competed to design, fabricate and erect a steel bridge structure. However, in the end, École de technologie supérieure (ETS) ranked number one overall.

The CISC encourages all Canadian universities to not only participate in future competitions, but to come prepared to push the envelope even further. We’re urging all competing teams to find new ways to attain sponsorship and to utilize the wealth of resources that the CISC has to offer.

The CISC annually hosts various competitions to challenge the steel leaders of the future to come up with innovative, as well as efficient steel design/construction solutions. These competitions inspire engineering and architectural students to explore and exceed the boundaries of their textbook knowledge and apply it to real life projects. By creating an exciting and competitive environment for students to thrive in, we are developing confident and knowledgeable professionals to lead the advancements of the steel construction industry.

T he Steel Centre holds at its core a desire to “challenge traditional boundaries,” in both education and research spaces, through dynamic industry–academic partnerships and new opportunities for education

and training. The Steel Centre has made great strides in 2018, gaining three new member organizations and recruiting several new research students and a post-doctoral fellow. Notably, Dimple Ji, a Steel Centre Master’s student, won the 2018 CISC G.J. Jackson Fellowship, a testament to the quality of students working at the Steel Centre.

The 2017-2018 academic year saw the launch of three new initiatives targeting improvements to how we train and educate young engineers: The Steel Squad, “Steel Centre Certified” and Steel Centre Out Reach Engineering (SCORE). The Steel Squad offers a carefully selected group of undergraduate students real-world experiences such as shop tours, jobsite tours, job shadowing and mentorship, as well as hands-on demos. Through these activities, students can earn an internal designation called, “Steel Centre Certified,” which documents the unique range of experiences gained at the Steel Centre that sets them apart from other students, providing an edge while seeking employment. “Steel Centre Certified” is offered to both undergraduate and graduate students who meet the requirements of engagement across three core themes (industry collaboration, real-world engineering, and lifelong learning), complementing the traditional degree program.

Newest amongst the Steel Centre’s education initiatives, SCORE launched in August 2018 as a student-led engineering consultancy. Graduate students partner with Steel Centre member companies to tackle real-world industry problems and in the process benefit from genuine mentorship and experience, while providing real work products to their clients.

The upcoming year poses interesting new challenges and opportunities, including one of the largest lateral-torsional buckling tests conducted on a series of welded steel girders, scheduled for this fall; a joint educational venture with UBC students; and the growth and maturation of the Steel Squad and SCORE programs.

Five CNSBC winning teams competed in the 2018 National Student Steel Bridge Competition (NSSBC), hosted by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). This year’s event was held at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne in May 2018.

Over the course of two days, teams from throughout the U.S., Canada, China and Mexico competed to fabricate and erect the best steel bridge. Of the 43 teams that competed, Canada’s École de technologie supérieure (ETS) ranked third overall!

EDUCATORS FORUMIn March 2018, the CISC gathered 38 academic professionals teaching steel design in faculties of engineering and architecture at universities across the country. Over the course of three days, we hosted seminars and activities that allowed educators from across Canada to share their education ideas, challenges and express their vision for the future with industry stakeholders.

The CISC’s Educators Forum is a biennial event that hosts the brightest minds in Canada’s academic institutions to network and share expertise. Through this event, the CISC has found an effective platform to better position, as well as advocate, for the needs of our industry by speaking directly with the leading steel educators.

The CISC hosted a total of 79 architectural students to participate in a unique competition that pushes the boundaries of the design process. Every year, we challenge students to unify concept with reality in order to broaden their understanding of structural design, in addition to stretching the limits of their architectural ideas.

Over the course of one year, students use what they have been taught in classrooms and apply it to a competitive project that can be worked on collaboratively. For the 2017-2018 CISC Architectural Student Design Competition, we narrowed down 42 entries from three schools of architecture to name the final three winners:

"Connecting with Clean Water"

CISC DESIGN MODULES

Following the Steel Design Series of design aids released in 2017, the CISC Engineering Department launches another series of steel design publications – Steel Design Modules. Each module provides comprehensive treatment for a steel design topic in compliance with the most current codes and standards, including rationale for structural design and analysis, user friendly design aids, practical design examples, list of references etc.

The Solutions Centre aims to publish three or more modules in 2018, including topics such as “Cantilever Roof Girders” (a very popular steel framing system used in low rise building construction), bolted connections and welded connections.

DESIGN MODULE 1

Eccentrically Loaded Bolt GroupsThis module contains design aids for determining the resistance of bolted connections subjected to an eccentric and inclined point load. Both in-plane and out-of-plane load eccentricities are considered.

For in-plane loading, the bolt configurations include groups with one, two and three vertical rows of bolts. For out-of-plane loading, several values of bolt pitch are provided, but only vertical loads are considered, and bolt groups consist of two vertical rows of bolts.

The CISC offers two accreditation programs that are unique to the steel construction industry. These accreditations distinguish an elite network of industry professionals who have reinforced their expertise in steel fabrication and installation.

Through a combination of training and examinations, we ensure that CISC accredited individuals have the right competencies to identify and implement the correct codes/standards/design practices in building projects.

The CISC is the steel industry’s source for advanced Canadian steel educational programs and resources for engineers, architects, educators and other steel industry stakeholders.

NEWLY UPDATED! CISC STEEL BRIDGE CERTIFICATION STANDARD – 3RD EDITION, 2018

The CISC has prepared this standard in recognition of its interest in meeting the quality requirements of its customers. It is designed to assess the Fabricator’s Quality System and provide a level of assurance that the company performing the fabrication has processes and personnel in place to better enable it to conform to the contractual and regulatory requirements. This standard addresses the special processes and requirements of steel fabrication for highway and railroad bridge structures.

This Standard is used by bridge fabricators who wish to have their operations CISC Certified. CSA S6, Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code, now requires bridge fabricators to have a bridge-specific audited and certified quality management system. CISC Bridge Certification is recognized by CSA S6-14 as meeting this requirement.

This revised edition includes the scope and requirements for two bridge certification categories: Complex Steel Bridges and Simple Steel Bridges.

STEEL DESIGN SERIES, SDS-2

Part 2 – Bolt Groups Subjected to an Eccentric and Inclined Point Load

SDS-2 aims to aid engineers in determining the resistance of bolt groups subjected to an eccentric and inclined point load. Three sets of charts are provided for one and two vertical rows of bolts, and for load directions within 90° of the vertical. Resistances have been calculated using the instantaneous centre of rotation method, and may be used for bearing-type and slip-critical bolted joints.

SDS-3 provides tables for the selection of high-strength columns produced to ASTM A913 grade 70. HIGH STRENGTH BOLTING FOR CANADIAN ENGINEERS G.L. Kulak

The purpose of this primer is to provide structural engineers with the information necessary to select suitable high-strength bolts, specify the methods of installation and inspection, and design connections that use this type of fastener. Bolts can either be common bolts (sometimes called ordinary or machine bolts) or high-strength bolts. Although both types are described, emphasis is placed on high-strength bolts. Because many riveted structures are still in use, and often their adequacy must be verified, a short description of rivets is also provided. This publication refers to CSA S16–01 (buildings and related structures) and CSA S6–00 (bridges).

This Standard applies to a quick-drying paint for use as a single coat on structural steel. It is intended to withstand exposure to essentially non-corrosive atmospheres (such as rural, urban or semi-industrial) for a period of time not exceeding six months.

CISC/CPMA STANDARD 2-75

This Standard applies to a quick-drying primer for use on structural steel. Without top coating, it is intended to withstand exposure to essentially non-corrosive atmospheres (such as rural, urban or semi-industrial) for a period of time not exceeding 12 months. It may be top-coated under the conditions described in this standard.

CISC COMMENTARY ON CSA S16-14 ANNEX K STRUCTURAL DESIGN FOR FIRE CONDITIONS

This Commentary on Structural Design for Fire Conditions has been adapted from an existing Commentary to the AISC Specification for Structural Steel Buildings, Appendix 4, Structural Design for Fire Conditions (AISC, 2010, 2nd edition), which was prepared by the AISC Committee on Specifications, Task Committee, TC8, on Structural Design for Fire Conditions.

STEEL FABRICATION QUALITY SYSTEMS GUIDELINE 2nd Edition with Commentary

This guideline has been prepared in recognition of the interest in meeting the quality requirements of its customers. It is designed to assist CISC Fabricators in developing a Quality System that will provide assurance that products will conform to contractual and regulatory requirements. This guideline addresses the special processes and specific requirements of the steel fabrication industry.

CISC PROJECT SOLUTIONS COST-ESTIMATING METHOD FOR STEEL BUILDING STRUCTURES

This guide provides a "do-it-yourself" method for estimating the cost of erected structural steel, which is widely used by estimators, designers and other construction professionals. Updates since the previous 1979 edition include a new feature to account for cost differences between members in Conventional Construction and those used in more ductile seismic force-resisting frames.

MOMENT CONNECTIONS FOR SEISMIC APPLICATIONS, 2ND EDITION

The second edition supersedes the first edition published in 2004 and based on FEMA 350, Recommended Seismic Design Criteria for New Steel Moment Frame Buildings. Completely revised and expanded to include reduced beam section, bolted unstiffened and stiffened end-plate, and bolted flange plate moment connections, the second edition presents design provisions comparable to those governing the design of generic beam-to-column connections in ANSI/AISC 358, Prequalified Connections for Special and Intermediate Steel Moment Frames for Seismic Applications.

STEEL BRIDGES COURSE DESIGN EXAMPLES (CSA S6-14)

This book is the companion to the 16 hour Steel Bridges Design, Fabrication, Construction course which covers the design, fabrication and construction of steel bridges based on CAN/CSA-S6-14, Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code. This 339 page book includes four updated design examples illustrating extensive design calculations for I-girders and box girders of straight and curved configurations. Topics addressed include highway bridge loads and methods of analysis, moment and shear resistance, control of cracking, vibration, fatigue, shear studs and wind and seismic effects.

CISC HANDBOOK UPDATES WITH REVISED TABLES – 2017

This publication contains the revisions and updates which have been incorporated into the 3rd Revised Printing of the 11th Edition of the CISC Handbook of Steel Construction. The list includes all revisions previously published in List No. 2 (4 October 2017), in addition to full reproductions of tables and pages that were revised due to the publication of S16-14 Update No. 1 by CSA Group in December 2016.

SINGLE STOREY BUILDING DESIGN AID

This book is the companion to the 8 hour Single Storey Building Design course which covers the major design parameters and techniques used to produce a functional and efficient design of a storage / light industrial building enclosure using structural steel and steel roof deck based on National Building Code of Canada 2010 and CSA S16-09. This 110 page book includes computation of forces due to wind, earthquake, and snow and design of the structural steel framing components required to resist these forces. Interface of architectural/structural components is emphasized.

ELECTRONIC APPSSteel Section Dimensions The Steel Section Dimensions App is available in 2 mobile platforms, for the Apple iPhone and tablets, and Android mobile devices. All data provided are consistent with the new Handbook (11th Edition). The data are given in both metric and Imperial units.

Steel Seismic Systems 2010 (SSS10) The Steel Seismic Systems 10 (SSS10) App will help structural engineers to quickly identify the permissible SFRS systems to use under NBC 2010 and CSA S16-09, saving valuable time and ensuring accuracy.

Structural Section Tables 11 (SST11) - Available to National Consulting Companies The SST11 Excel database contains the North American structural steel sections listed in the Handbook of Steel Construction, 11th Edition. The following steel shapes are included: W, HP, M, S, C, MC, L, WT, HSS (square, rectangular and round; CSA G40.20 and ASTM A500), 2L equal legs back-to-back, 2L long legs back-to-back, 2L short legs back-to-back. Commonly used and readily available W-shape sizes are highlighted.

CODES & STANDARDS

CISC Engineers participate in development activities for many codes and standards nationally and internationally representing CISC and the steel industry at large. Both CSA Technical Committees, TC S16 Design of Steel Structures and TC S6-14, Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code, have been very busy in preparation for the next edition due for publication in 2019.

CISC staff serve as Vice-Chair of TC S16 and members of TC S6 and TC S413 on Parking Structures. CISC staff are also involved with CSA Committees including S16, S6, G40 and W59.

CISC staff serve the Code Commission responsible for the National Building Code of Canada (NBCC) and several of its standing committees. CISC staff continue to serve the Standing Committee on Structural Design and the Standing Committee on Earthquake Design. Regarding the new Sound Transmission Class (ASTC) ratings introduced in NBCC 2015 for residential buildings, talks continue with potential partners for a joint effort to co-fund a testing programme and/or other means to achieve compliance with the new ratings.

CISC staff engineers also serve several provincial code committees and other committees including the Research Council of Structural Connections, AISC Specifications Committee and ISO Committee TC167.

THE CANADIAN STEEL CONFERENCE

The Canadian Steel Conference is a unique event that brings our steel industry together every year to learn, build relationships, develop businesses and celebrate steel—while having fun!

By gathering senior level leaders and industry experts from across the country, we are able to share knowledge, expertise, as well as important updates on the current state of the industry. Not to mention, highlight the latest innovations in products and services.

We have implemented an integrated campaign to promote the Canadian Steel Conference to delegates sponsors and trade show exhibitors. Our campaign included e-blasts, direct mail, advertising in local industry publications, social media campaigns and promoting at events.

The CISC exhibited at various architectural, engineering, and construction focused conferences throughout Canada. With this our focus was to further promote all the possibilities of steel construction. We also sponsored industry ambassadors (such as Terri Meyer Boake, a professor of architecture at the university of waterloo) to present lunch & learns and share their expertise with regards to steel construction. This not only further penetrates the market with awareness in steel construction but as well as educates consumers within our industry of the possibilities that come with the use of steel.

SteelDay is an exciting annual event hosted by the CISC and celebrated across Canada. Every year we share new insight on how steel is made, fabricated and installed in various structural buildings and bridges. We encourage all of Canada to celebrate SteelDay with us in order to showcase how vital the steel construction industry is in building Canada, while promoting our Members & Associates.

The CISC’s SteelDay 2017 was a huge success! This annual event welcomed over 1000 attendees across the country who celebrated steel with us. Visitors were treated to various tours, demonstrations, presentations and BBQs.
