the Center for academic Support and advising Services (CaSaS) employs more than 60 full-time faculty and staff representing several departments. CaSaS helps students progress academically by providing the support services described below:
seven Ways CAsAs Invests in Your student:
1. new Student Seminar (FrSM): academic orientation for new Liberty students that provides an introduction to Liberty’s mission, Christian worldview, and academic expectations.
2. Professional advisors: advisors are assigned by major and guide students through class registration, monitor graduation progress, and create success plans.
3. the Bruckner Learning Center (BLC) offers:
• Mentoring 101: a small group elective that helps students adjust to college life
• developmental math courses
• tutoring/testing Services
• Freshman Learning Communities

4. the Center for Writing and Languages (CWL): the umbrella department for the Undergraduate Writing Center (UWC), Online Writing Center (OWC), graduate Writing Center (gWC), the Foreign Language Lab (FLL), Online Foreign Language Lab (OFLL), and Spanish Writing Center (SWC). the CWL offers free writing and language tutoring services as well as assistance in writing scholarly research papers.
5. the Office of disability academic Support (OdaS): assists with academic accommodations, an assistive technology Lab, and the hands of Liberty deaf Office.
6. technical Studies program: Students can also earn an associate of applied Science degree in specific skills, including in plumbing, electrical, welding, hVaC, and carpentry. training in these courses can be applied toward a certificate degree or used to supplement a primary degree. this program is certified by the national Center for Construction Education and research (nCCEr).
