Differents kind of tentsPop-up tent: Round tent with a framework

that deploys automatically.  One-person tent: Small low-roofed tent with

enough room to accommodate one person.  Dome tent: Semicircular tent that, once

pitched, can be moved without being taken down.

TentPortable waterproof soft-sided shelters that are stretched taut

over a frame and temporarily pitched outdoors.

Stake: Small post that is driven into the ground to hold the tent in place.

Stake loop: One of the fabric circles attached to the tent’s outer edge; stakes are driven through the loops to anchor the tent to the ground.

Elastic strainer: Elasticized cable used to stretch the canvas taut and anchor it to the ground.

Door: Piece of canvas covering the entrance to the tent. Roof pole: Long vertical post supporting the top of the tent. Inner tent: Part of the tent covered by the rainfly. Rainfly: Piece of waterproof canvas that covers the inner

tent; it protects it from rain and provides an extra layer of insulation.

Sewn-in floor: Canvas floor sewn into the bottom of the tent; it protects the interior from ground dampness and runoff.

Mummy: Sleeping bag shaped like the body; it has a part that covers the head and neck with an opening for the face.

Semi-mummy: Sleeping bag with a less spacious design to better retain body heat.

Rectangular: Rectangular sleeping bag that is spacious enough to give the body room to move.
