gLOCAL: our global and local missions

The nation of Myanmar, formerly known asBurma, is 88% Buddhist. How will a nationmade up mostly of a false religion come tothe saving knowledge of Jesus? Who will tellthem that there is a God who loves themrichly?

“Everyone who calls on the name of theLord will be saved. How, then, can they callon the one they have not believed in? Andhow can they believe in the one of whom

they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those whobring good news!’” –Romans 10:13-15

Our missionaries in Myanmar have invited us to join them in their mission to reach this people withthe love of Jesus. Our hope is to send a team the early part of November to build playgroundsalongside preschools being taught by local believers. Our missionaries noticed early on that thereare no playgrounds in the city which they live. God gave them an inspired idea to strategically buildplaygrounds next to these preschools taught by believers. The goal is the gospel, the tool is theplayground. The playgrounds will draw the people in and give the local believers opportunity toshare the gospel.

JOIn tHe teAM:We need builders and children’s ministry workers. We’ll be building 2playgrounds with the funds our kidshave raised through BGMC and willbe ministering to the children in Myanmar. Pastor Ben is leading the team for 10 days the first part of November. The cost will be between $2,200-2,500. Pick up an information packet at the WelcomeCenter or on the Mission’s Wall in the foyer. Our hope is to have a team signed up by June 18th.
