But while technology changes rapidly, the end-to-end customer experience can sometimes move a little slow, and b8ta needed a fresh experience that would capture attention, wow customers, and bring people back to the store for more. They found it.

Palo Alto’s cutting edge tech retailer, b8ta, is always ahead of the curve when it comes to keeping customers excited and compelled to regularly return to the store to check out the latest high tech. b8ta’s mission is to take technology out of the box, put it in the people’s hands, and get them excited about what’s possible and what’s next.

When the opportunity came to partner with SoftBank Robotics America (SBRA) to showcase Pepper, the humanoid robot, the folks at b8ta knew they found the perfect solution to strengthen their customer base and

take their brand from a local shop to a nationally recognized name.

For one week only, Pepper was showcased at b8ta, greeting the public,

press, and inspiring people everywhere to believe that the technology of the future is here today.

On August 11th, Pepper appeared at b8ta and started connecting with consumers immediately. It kicked off with a press event, where members of the media were given access to Pepper and the opportunity to speak with executives from SoftBank Robotics America and b8ta. For a full week, Pepper greeted customers and treated them to a new, in-store experience with an engaging application.

Everything drove towards the Beers at b8ta Event where the head of studio for SoftBank Robotics America, Omar Abdelwahed, gave a rousing presentation about the possibilities of Pepper directly to dozens of the Bay Area’s hottest developers.

The intention was to draw people to the store, show them something new, and get them excited for the future. It worked!
