I live in Brittish Columbia on the west coast of Canada. I am married with no "real" children of my own... but I do have many babies that will never grow up!

I come from an artistic family of painters and sculptors, so from childhood I have been sculpting, at first with plasticine and play dough.

But in 2001 my grandmother introduced me to the art of making dolls. My grandmother is Clara Allen, a well-known doll artist who has won many awards for her work.

She helped me to get started sculpting, and immediately I knew this was what I wanted to be doing.

I just love watching a sweet little face take shape as I work, the best part being when their eyes "look" at me for the first time. Each one seems to have its own personality just asking to be let out

of the clay.

My other passion is photography, my favorite subject being... you guessed it.... babies! I take hundreds of photos of their little hands and feet, their chubby arms and legs and of course their

faces, that seem to have a thousand different expressions!

Trying to incorporate realism in my dolls from these pictures and to capture some of those expressions is something I will keep me busy forever!

But the most satisfaction and joy that I experiece is knowing that my little ones are warmly loved in their new homes. Nothing compares to hearing from a happy new mommy!

That makes it almost bearable to part with them....

These babies look unbelievably real.  These are the creations of artist Camille Allen.

She uses polymer clay or resin to sculpt these remarkably detailedtiny babies.

You can almost hear them!
