Procedures for Call Forwarding

The first thing you will need to know when using the call forwarding feature isthe specific code used by your carrier. If you have the manual that came withyour cell phone, you can search for it there. On most cell phones, like the

Motorola Razr or Apple's iPhone, you can access call forwarding via the phone'smenu.

For LAN lines, most home and business phones use either *72 or *73 as thecode to begin the call forwarding process. If neither of these codes work, call

the operator from the phone you wish to forward from. They should be able totell you the code and confirm you have the feature available.

Once you have entered the code, input the destination phone number whereyou want the calls to be forwarded. After all numbers have been inputted, listen

on your phone for an indication it worked. The indicator is usually four quickdial-tone beeps. If you are not sure it worked, call the number you are

forwarding to for confirmation. If it does not work, contact your phone companyfor assistance

To activate call forwarding on wireless phones in theUnited States is a relatively simple process, but slightvariations exist among the different service providers.Within one such provider, AT&T Wireless, the process

can differ depending upon the customer's equipmentbeing either GSM or TDMA. Most carriers in the U.S.utilize TDMA technology and their methods varysomewhat. The process of activating call forwardingand deactivating call forwarding is very similar. The

three largest wireless providers are Verizon, AT&T andSprint. To activate call forwarding on a landline is muchthe same as with most wireless providers.

Activate call forwarding on AT&T Wireless TDMA phones. Press *72 for most locations.

Dial 1+ the 10-digit forwarding phone number.

Press "send" and listen for the confirmation message.

Deactivate call forwarding on AT&T Wireless TDMA phones. Press *73 for most locations.

Dial 1+ the 10-digit forwarding phone number.

Press "send" and listen for the confirmation message.

Activate call forwarding on AT&T Wireless GSM phones. Scroll through the menu and select "Settings."

Scroll down and select "Call Settings."

Select "Forwarding."

Select "All Voice" or "When Available."

Listen for a stutter-dial tone. Enter the 10-digit forwarding phone number.

Listen for a stutter-dial tone.

Hang up.

Call Forward All

Call Forward All allows you to forward calls on your phone to another number. You can set up Call Forward

All directly on your phone. To access Call Forward All remotely, go to your User Options web pages.

There are two types of call forwarding features that your system administrator might set up on your phone:

1 Unconditional call forwarding (Call Forward All)Applies to all calls that you receive.

2 Conditional call forwarding (Call Forward No Answer, Call Forward Busy, Call Forward No

Coverage)Applies to certain calls that you receive, according to conditions, and is accessible only from

your User Options web pages.

Your system administrator can set up other call forward options that:

1 Allows calls placed from the call forward target number to your phone to ring through, rather than be

forwarded.

2 Prevents you from creating a call forward loop or exceeding the maximum number of links in a call

forwarding chain.

Procedure

Step 1 Press the center button of the Navigation Pad button.

Step 2 Navigate for the Call Forward All option.

Step 3 Enter the call forward target number exactly as you would dial it from your phone. For example, enter an

access code or the area code, if necessary.

Transfer a Call

Transfer allows you to redirect a connected

call from your phone to another number

Procedure

Step 1 Press Transfer button to put the first

call on hold and initiate a new call. Step 2 Press the Transfer button the second

time to finish the transfer.

Call Forward

Now when you are away from your home, your calls can be automatically sent to you. With Call Forward,

there is no need to leave messages about where you are or reveal any forwarding numbers.

To forward your calls...

Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone..

Dial 7 - 2 - # (on rotary dial phones, dial 7 - 2 and wait four seconds).

Again, listen for the dial tone.

Now, dial the number where you want your calls to be forwarded. (You can use Speed Calling codes if you

have this feature.)

The Call Forward feature is in effect when someone answers at the forwarding number.

If there is no answer at the forwarding number, or if the line is busy, hang up the phone and repeat the

steps above. If you do so within two minutes, you'll hear two "beeps," meaning your Call Forward feature

is now working.

Once you've activated Call Forward, your phone will make one short ring each time a call is forwarded. You

can still make outgoing calls from this phone.

If you wish to change the number to which your calls are being forwarded, just deactivate the feature (see

below), then follow the steps above to forward your calls to a new number

Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.

Dial 7 - 3 - # (on rotary dial phones, dial 7 - 3 and wait four seconds).

Listen for two beeps, then hang up. The feature is no longer in effect, and calls will ring on your phone.

Call Forwarding on Busy

Allows you to forward incoming calls to a fixed number of your choice. Calls willforward when you are on the telephone.

To forward your calls...

Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone..

Dial * 9 - 0 (on rotary dial phones, dial 9 - 0 and wait four seconds).

Again, listen for the dial tone.

Now, dial the number where you want your calls to be forwarded.

The Call Forward Busy feature is in effect when someone answers at theforwarding number.

If there is no answer at the forwarding number, or if the line is busy, hang up thephone and repeat the steps above. If you do so within two minutes, you'll hear

two "beeps," meaning your Call Forward Busy feature is now working. To deactivate Call Forward Busy...

Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.

Dial * 9 - 0 (on rotary dial phones, dial 9 - 0 and wait four seconds).

Listen for two beeps, then hang up. The feature is no longer in effect.
