Poster Content: Posters should highlight an innovation that helped advance the field of IR and the innovator(s) who invented it or applied it to minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Posters that focus on WAIS innovators are especially welcome. Additionally, posters should predict how the innovation or its applications will evolve in the future. Creativity and imagination are encouraged! Judging & Awards: All posters will be judged by a select panel of luminaries and future luminaries based on interest, accuracy, visual appeal, creativity, and vision. The top 8 posters will be selected to participate in the WAIS Conference Poster Contest. Those individuals will receive one comped hotel room night and IR-in-training discounted registration. Attendees of the Luminary Social will vote for the Best in Show. The winner will receive a ticket to the final night gala where they will be given their award and certificate. Submission Instructions: All WAIS participants, but especially early IRs and IRs-in-training, are invited to submit abstracts for consideration for this poster presentation. Abstract submissions are due by May 1, 2020 (deadline extended). Submit to: WAIS 2020 Scientific Program Director Isabel Newton, M.D., Ph.D. E: [email protected] Abstracts must be <250 words and contain the following elements: * Poster Title and Author(s) * Name and description of the Innovation * Significance of the innovation (i.e. its impact on IR) * Name of the Innovator(s) with a brief biography * Brief story of how the innovation came to be * Future evolution of the innovation or its applications Abstracts that are selected for poster presentation will be announced no later than May 31, 2020. Selected abstracts will be invited to participate in the poster session at the 50th WAIS conference. Posters will be displayed on poster boards during the conference. Authors will present their posters during a special “Meet the Giants” social Sunday, September 20, 2020 (5:30-7:00 pm).
