About Big Bend SHRM The Big Bend Society for Human Resource Management (Big Bend SHRM) is the local chapter affiliate for the national Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and HR Florida State Council. One of the most respected chapters within the HR Florida State Council, we continue to win awards for our leadership in the HR community, membership, college relations, workforce readiness, participation in legislation and more.

The goal of Big Bend SHRM is to promote a high standard of excellence for human resource practitioners in the Big Bend area through the following activities:

• Professional development - Meetings, seminars, workshops, HRCI certification review, and participation in regional, state and national conventions

• Networking opportunities - A forum for meeting and networking with other HR professionals through monthly educational meetings, leadership committees and special events

• Current events - Information on topics of interest and current events affecting the human resource profession at the national and state levels through presentations, newsletters, e-mail announcements and more

• Community involvement - An avenue to give back to the community through our “Spare Change” initiative that collects money at each monthly meeting, is matched by the Chapter and then donated to a local charitable organization

About the HR Tallahassee Conference and Exposition HR Tallahassee Conference and Exposition, Big Bend SHRM’s largest annual event, provides companies and

organizations the opportunity to market their products and services to a pre-qualified audience of top-level HR

professionals and decision makers. For over 35 years, Big Bend SHRM has been serving the business and human

resource community in the Tallahassee area.

Our over 200 active members represent over 140 public and private entities in various industries and companies

within the Big Bend region.

Big Bend SHRM values the many partnerships with local, state, and national businesses to offer resources to our

members and their organizations. As such, we continue to seek ways to strengthen these relationships and

foster a chapter that meets the needs of our members.

Graphics Requirements Big Bend SHRM offers a unique opportunity to highlight your business or service in our website, conference

program and social media in addition to other marketing venues. These publications reach over 200 members

monthly.

Based on your selected level, you will be able to place an ad in our conference program. This ad needs to be

provided to us no later than, Friday, March 29, 2019 for inclusion in the program. Logo’s, pictures, ads, and

other graphics should be submitted as high-resolution files.

Acceptable formats for website and program ads are PDF, EPS, TIF, JPG. As a reminder, logo graphic and

advertisement information (if applicable to your partner level) MUST BE SUBMITTED by Friday, March 29, 2019

to [email protected] so that we can begin advertisement of your company.

Partner Terms and Conditions 1. TERMS OF PAYMENT. All applications and contracts for sponsorship must be accompanied by full payment for each space rented. All payments must be received by May 3, 2019. Failure to make final payment constitutes a cancellation of this contract. Requests for cancellation and refunds must be in writing. Failure to notify us in writing will affect future participation. No requests for refunds will be granted after May 3, 2019.

2. SPACE ASSIGNMENTS. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis unless indicated by your sponsorship level. Only three competitors per category or industry type are limited. Big Bend SHRM will make every effort to assign competitors’ booths in different parts of the exhibitor area. 3. CANCELLATION OF CONFERENCE. If Big Bend SHRM should be prevented from holding the Conference for any reason beyond Big Bend SHRM’s control (such as, but not limited to, damage to building, riots, strikes breached by exposition location, acts of government or acts of God) then Big Bend SHRM has the right to cancel the Conference or any part thereof, with no further liability to the exhibitor other than a refund of exhibit fees less a proportionate share of the exposition cost incurred.

4. All Conference Partners must request approval from Big Bend SHRM prior to holding ANY drawings, raffles, giveaways, or related activities during the conference. By committing to this partnership, all Conference Partners acknowledge that unauthorized activities and/or non-compliance to these criteria may result in the Partner’s immediate dismissal from the conference, as well as the preclusion from future Big Bend SHRM conference partnerships.

The SHRM Foundation is a value-based charity organization whose mission is to champion workforce and

workplace transformation by providing scholarships to educate and develop HR professionals and students to

make change happen, presenting opportunities for HR professionals to make a difference in their local

communities, and developing research-based HR solutions for challenging inclusion issues facing employees and

potential employees. The SHRM Foundation was founded in 1966 and is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organizational

affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management. Initiatives for 2019 include the aging workforce,

engaging and integrating military veterans, building an inclusive culture in workplaces, and preparing HR

professionals for future trends.

The SHRM Foundation relies heavily on donations from State Counsels and Local Chapters to fulfil its

mission as described above. Therefore, this Chapter has decided to integrate a fundraiser into our largest

annual outreach both to raise as much money as possible while creating awareness for the Foundation.

SILENT AUCTION FUNDRAISER Each sponsor is required to donate an item valued at $75 or more to the silent auction fundraiser to

benefit the SHRM Foundation. These items will be displayed on tables outside the auditorium along with the

logo of the sponsor to maximize recognition of your brand throughout the event. All items will be awarded at

specified times throughout the day via general announcements to the attendees.

Your donations should be unique or tangible making your organization proud to accept recognition of

the donation. Examples of desirable items in past auctions include: designer purses/clutches, gift cards, gift

baskets, jewelry, electronics, dinner for two, tickets or passes to experiences, autographed memorabilia, etc.

Be creative. The sponsor with the most raffle tickets submitted for their item will receive a voucher for an

automatic sponsor level upgrade to the 2020 HR Tallahassee event! *upgrade is one level from paid 2019 level
