Conference Location

The CPE 2009 Conference-Workshop will be held in Badajoz, a city in the southwest of Spain, in the Region of Extremadura that borders Portugal.

The best way to reach Badajoz is by airplane. Badajoz has a national airport with links with the international airports of Madrid, Barcelona and Bilbao. There will be free buses from the airport (about 15 km from the city center) to the recommended hotels in Badajoz.

It is possible to reach Badajoz by car on the highway, by bus or by train from Madrid (about 400 km), Sevilla (215 km) and Lisbon (Portugal, 225 km).

The conference will take place in IFEBA (www.ifeba.net), the trade fair institution of Badajoz.

General information

In accordance with the IEEE-IES Technical Co-sponsorship conditions papers should be accepted after a review process by three referees. Accepted papers will be presented in oral/dialoged sessions. Poster sessions are not scheduled. The technical program committee will ask the authors for improving their papers according to the reviewer’s recommendations. Initial submissions must be full papers. No abstracts will be reviewed. All submitted papers must be in Portable Document File (.pdf) IEEE Xplore compliant format. Instructions for typescript preparation are available on

the conference website: http://peandes.unex.es/cpe2009. The accepted papers will be published in the CD-Rom Workshop-Conference Proceedings and included in the IEEE Xplore database, only if at least

one author is registered using the registration form and has paid the registration fee. An award will be given for the best student paper per workshop topic.

Registration fee The registration fee includes the Workshop-Conference Proceedings CD-Rom, the three day lunches and coffee breaks, the

welcome party and the gala dinner.
