NOTES: During installation care should be taken to protect the productfrom wet and dark base sand, dirt and detritus while remainingconstruction works are completed. To ensure the flags remain ingood condition, regular cleaning is essential after installation.

Care should be taken to ensure the chosen bedding and jointingmaterials will not stain the surface of the paving units. AGrecommends the use of appropriately graded coarse aggregatesfor bedding and jointing. As a general rule, grey or silver colouredjointing materials work well for dark grey and silver colouredflagstone units. For more information contact our Technical Dept.

Caliza flags are manufactured using natural stone which can varyslightly in tone. Where possible it is advised to order from the sameproduction run to avoid the possibility of tone variations (shading).

Like all quality concrete products with a high cement content,Caliza Flags can display the effects of efflorescence. Sometimesknown as ‘white bloom’, this naturally occurring phenomenon willdisappear over time and does not effect the structural integrity ofthe flag.

Care should be taken when handling Caliza Flags. During transportand delivery some ‘chipping’ (up to 5%) can be expected. Thesecan be used for cuts and detailing.
